Supposedly the retroactive unemployment benefit bumps were supposed to kick in today (to make up for dying off at the end of July), but instead I got an 8 dollar payout.

Amber said she heard the 3rd week of September with back pay. Not sure where she got the info.DancesWithWerewolves wrote:Supposedly the retroactive unemployment benefit bumps were supposed to kick in today (to make up for dying off at the end of July), but instead I got an 8 dollar payout.

That’s no back pay. Is it linked at all to the bill that McConnell refuses to enact? It was this guaranteed aside from it? Hope you get your money.

so my new watches for the upcoming challenge are shaping up like this: swallow, becky, left bank, color out of space, random acts of violence, la llorona, fade to black, the rental. that's about half at least.

There's so much mixed information flying around, it's hard to keep track, so I don't know how's what, but the most common thing claimed the back-pay is supposed to kick in on Sept. 7, to make up for the last month of no help, then supposedly will only last for 3 weeks after.showa58taro wrote:That’s no back pay. Supposedly, I qualify because my qualifying weekly amount is over $100 per week (actually it's about 417), but since I'm part time and not completely unemployed, I don't get to see all that money. If I go over 30 hours in a week, I get nothing, which of course is still not survivable. I had 29 hours over the last two weeks, which left me with 8 bucks lol.
But plus side, I 0-balanced 6 of my credit cards so that's less monthly expenditures. I still have 3 with high balances, but hey, my credit score looks pretty damn good right now.
They're really going about fucking over the people who are hurting. California, supposedly the 5th largest economy in the world, can't help its residents. It's embarrassing how much we're taxed and there's nothing to show for it.

That's poor representation of your money. It's like that all over the country but seems especially bad in Cali.DancesWithWerewolves wrote:There's so much mixed information flying around, it's hard to keep track, so I don't know how's what, but the most common thing claimed the back-pay is supposed to kick in on Sept. 7, to make up for the last month of no help, then supposedly will only last for 3 weeks after.showa58taro wrote:That’s no back pay. Yeah. All the politicians are just trying to line their pockets. Dems, Repubs, both of'em, and it fucking sucks.Jmac Attack wrote:That's poor representation of your money. That is weird. It seems like quite the oddity. The UK has lots of problems but at least a clear way to help individuals and businesses was present from the start. Sorry you’re being messed about so much. Gotta admit having that many credit cards sounds nuts. I’ve just got the one, and just pay it off every month.

Most were store specific ones. But when you're poor, you wind up relying on it.showa58taro wrote:That is weird. It seems like quite the oddity. UK has a big payday loan industry preying on poor people too. Once you sink it’s almost impossible to climb up given the structural inequalities you face when you’re poor.DancesWithWerewolves wrote:Most were store specific ones.
