i'm becoming more curious and interested in it, as each new conservative cries and bitches and calls to burn down netflix over it, and most not actually having seen it themselves.

Look at the trailer. Nobody in their right mind would touch that movie with a ten foot pole. Can't say the same for pedos and their five-inch poles, though. Imagine creating a movie that sexualizes young girls to own the Conservatives.

i only ask that they actually see the film to judge for themselves, rather than taking the word of some pundit or judging by a trailer that has been called out as misrepresentation by the filmmaker, and apologized for by netflix.

It is fishy. Because the audience scores are clearly bullshit. 90% fresh with a 6.98/10 average rating for critics is a perfectly believable aggregate rating. 11% audience score with an average rating of 1.08/10 is clearly internet trolls going out of their way to bury something.

the movie may attract pedophiles because of some scenes depicted. i've heard worse than skimpy clothes, but i don't know for sure. and as i understand it, the intent of the film is to show the effect of pressure to go to either extreme (puritanism and oversexualization). maybe it's done poorly. or maybe it's just lip service to that effect. i don't know. but that is what the filmmaker says her intent was in making the film.

but don't pretend like it's all pedophiles that watch the film, or show interest in the film. in fact, don't pretend that the majority. even, is pedophiles.
