No one knows what they are doing until they have been there. The people who know what they are doing are the entrenched political operatives who continue to put us into a hole of debt. Just like a bad business that props itself up with loans.

Imagine for a moment that we had to go through the last 16 years leaving within our means and not piling on debt. The people within Washington on tell us that is impossible. If you believe that, then we should continue to elect the same candidates who got us there. The ones who look and act "presidential" so we accept their bad policies.

The Trump administration is going to reverse course on our debt? Why not aim for something more realistic like world peace?

Just look at the big picture:

Media stands by and says nothing while national debt explodes.

Media goes on a rampage because our military might not allow trannies. They get portrayed as heros. The numbers get inflated (15,000!). No mention of Bradley/Chelsea Manning.

Reports about Republican in-fighting over the healthcare law. No reports on Democrats doing absolutely nothing as the law they created is hurting people.

No, they cannot reverse course on our debt because the politicians who have been entrenched will not allow fixes to entitlements. Medicaid and disability grew astronomically in the last 16 years. So many people are on those programs who shouldn't be. I have heard members of Trumps admin mention it, but the democrats are useless and the republican establishment is scared.

Our Congress is full of cowards too. I don't care what your political ideology is, what they tried to do last night was fucked up on principle alone. McCain's "fuck you" to Trump and McConnell was well deserved.

Everyone has their theoretical ideology and their practical ideology. We need to accept some basic nonpartisan laws of human nature as it pertains to constituents and their relationships with political representatives. You understand why entitlements are hard to roll back, right?

Democrats can say what they want but they haven't made any suggestions to fix Obamacare because they also don't know how. That happens when you give away things without any plan on paying for it.

Yup.

I am stealing someone else's quote:

"The Democrats are all Democrats. The problem with the Republican Party is some are democrats and some are republicans."

What are the significant policy differences between John McCain and Hillary Clinton? Old Washington elites who think you save a falling building by putting a fresh coat of paint on it.

The plan all along was to pay for it with tax increases. Keep expanding it and pumping money into it until they can justify a government takeover. Tha is their goal with everything.

Well it's put up or shut up time for the Dems now. They got on their hands and knees begging for an opportunity to sit at the table, and now they'll probably get it. Based on track record, no reason for real optimism but the cloak and dagger shit of the last decade needed to end all around.

When you create a bill at lunch and try to shove it through to the House that night, pretty clear they just don't want to deal with this anymore. I have always said Republicans talking a big game about taking over health care would eventually be political suicide.
