Speaking of division....just this is a taste if my world and lovely Ohio. My friend and her friend were almost attacked by some right wing douche. He was yelling at them calling them socialist lesbians. Lmao. My friend is not a lesbian at all. She is straight. She is also apolitical. She is a gun lover and goes hunting with her dad twice a year out of state. Saturday, I almost got into a fight with the singer for the first band that played. Why? Because another friend of mine said he was gonna put on makeup to get discounted drinks. The singer dude then said, "Good thing there are not fucking liberals here. I've got a .22 and can't wait for shit to go down." Lmao. This is what I said "There are liberals here right now. But we ain't politically correct if that is what you mean?" Singer dude- "you guys are fucking kids!" Me- "No, I just like to fuck pretty boy long haired QAnoners like yourself". Then my singer stepped in between us because the guy didn't like it. I was just fuckinf around man. Lol
Just wanted to share those with yall and making conversation. With the division,, I know right wingers experience shit too.
I almost talked about the incident about the singer on Facebook, but didn't want the drama. That guy was a douche though. He was an hour late, drunk, and was just in a pissy mood. I tried to talk to him before he left to tell him I was just trying to make him laugh, but he was already kicked out. Hahaha

My friend did open a business that sells hippie Dippie gem stones and crystals. Maybe that is why the guy thought she was lefty? But really....the hardcore right wingers around here, have adopted the white supremacist world views, but also have taken a liking to health foods, yoga, veganism, etc.
And what does a right winger and left winger look like? I mean, according to Facebook libs are weak and conservatives are tough with beards and shit. Lmao.

All. Left and right. White and BAME. Rich and poor. At this point that’s the only conclusion to draw is that their willful harming of others is the issue.Tiggnutz wrote:Are all people who choose not to get vaccinated murderers or just the white Republicans who choose not to get vaccinated? What I hear most is they are not afraid to get it or they already had it, exactly what the white people say. Of course the media and left never miss an opportunity to sow division and make everything about race.

Re: Random Political Comments
Is that a new progressive word?
Forgive me for not keeping up with the woke stuff, but wouldn't lumping every race together like that and keeping them segregated from whites make it a racist term?

It's not wrong that people want to get the vaccine, and it's not wrong that people refuse the vaccine. What is wrong is government mandating personal choices and threatening your financial life and career. The anger and frustration is misplaced on both sides. Liberals think Conservatives are keeping the virus around because so many refuse the vaccine and conservatives think liberals are going to willingly walk us all into the gas chambers by doing everything the government says. If we weren't blinded by political bias and choosing one of two sides that the media makes up, we'd see pretty clearly how severely misinformed they keep the public in every political issue.
For example, they've successfully made conservatives essentially root against the U.S. in the Olympics because of the competitors who kneel during the anthem and made liberals think that shaming the country on a widely viewed public platform is a good thing for the country. It's not liberals or conservatives that caused this, it's mainstream corporate media drama. And now football is going to add the new black national anthem before football games to play along the Star Spangled Banner. As if segregating a race and keeping them separate from a nation's National Anthem while living inside that nation is going to help everyone unite? The media could convince liberals that civil unions are better for gays so they don't have to be affiliated with the hardcore religious crowd that comes with a traditional marriage. This whole thing is designed to keep us severely misinformed and arguing with each other so we don't join together like we're supposed to in the pursuit of truth.
Competing sources from mainstream news outlets say completely different things all the time with a sprinkle of truth here and there to keep us coming back for more, and it's up to us to sift through the bullshit and find the truth, not to see both misinformed divisive opinion pieces and choose one of those horse shit sides. We shouldn't care about sides, we should care about truth.

Imagine 25-50% of the world had valid medical reasons. Do we lockdown those who can't get the vaccine? Do we lockdown those who have the vaccine and are afraid to encounter the unvaccinated? Do we all stay in lockdown mode forever?Headhunter wrote:No, just the ones who have no valid medical reason for not getting it. Wow that makes conservatives sound like a bunch of babies who care more about meaningless symbolism than actual accomplishments.Jason wrote:For example, they've successfully made conservatives essentially root against the U.S. in the Olympics.
Why do people pretend to care about the national anthem? That song is kinda trash anyway. Not one of us plays it in our free time for fun. Who’s playing it on Spotify tonight? Not me or anyone who isn’t a weirdo lmao

There are probably at least 50 national anthems that are objectively better songs than ours. And what’s this “stand silently” bullshit too? Why not play something to get the people moving? Get those shoulders shaking. Maybe a classic R&B joint.

Disclaimer: Jimi Hendrix shredding the Star Spangled Banner doesn’t count and obviously kicks ass. But he could make literally any children or nursery song sound fucking epic on guitar

The fact you think it's all about the song is why this is an issue for you.Headhunter wrote:Wow that makes conservatives sound like a bunch of babies who care more about meaningless symbolism than actual accomplishments.Jason wrote:For example, they've successfully made conservatives essentially root against the U.S. in the Olympics.

When Johnny Comes Marching Home is a pretty rad fucking song though.
Re: Random Political Comments
Same. 50 hours in one week is an extremely slow week for me. Lol. Once that mentality starts clicking in people's heads is when we take back our country and unite. It's prominent in a lot of parts of the country. Neighbors in certain states will have a Trump flag in one yard and Hillary in the other and they'll chat friendly like there's no tomorrow. When we attack ourselves, no progress is made and the media/government wins.Jmac Attack wrote:I'm not gonna quote the post because it's getting big, but good stuff, Jason, wit some shit I actually agree with. Re: Random Political Comments
I don't know. I'm tired of being annoyed at LeBron James or all the woke leftists in Hollywood. I feel so much healthier mentally to not allow myself to look at them in a negative way, even if I feel or even know they're wrong in some cases. I feel better when I realized that they are not the enemy, no matter how different our opinions are or how much they might hate me if we ever met. I know deep down neither of us are the enemy. Remember when we all used to be such good friends? Still love here for the most part, but I can feel horrific animosity in these threads because of our views.
I've had crazy liberals coming at me crazy like that crazy dude who came at J-Mac. Imagine still being friendly with those people no matter how much they hate you? That's the way to go. Kill the divisiveness with kindness.

Re: Random Political Comments
it all hinges on what your goal is. if you want to attack and pick them apart, then approach them as an enemy. if you want to understand them or to find common ground to work from, with them.. then approach them as someone who just has a different viewpoint. most people, even most "woke hollywood leftists" want to make america better. how that will work is where the clashes come from. examining your own beliefs and bias' is also a good idea. but so often that is dismissed as self hatred or fragility.Jason wrote:I don't know. also, unless lebron says he hates you, directly, then don't jump to that conclusion.
