The Pale Door had a good premise, and even on paper it probably looked good, but it was shot cheap like a historical reenactment you'd see on the history channel, and the ending is very meh.

The sets were hilariously bad. Boring as all hell, though.DancesWithWerewolves wrote:The Pale Door had a good premise, and even on paper it probably looked good, but it was shot cheap like a historical reenactment you'd see on the history channel, and the ending is very meh.

This is one I would already support a better budget remake.Slaughterhouserock wrote:The sets were hilariously bad. Starting off the day with Summer of 84.
Seems a bit like Rear Window/Fright Night mixed with Monster Squad, but none of the supernatural parts.

I really enjoyed that the first time I saw it. Had a fantastic vibe. I didn't love it near as much when I saw it a second time, but I still think it's a pretty decent (if perhaps a bit unremarkable) movie.DancesWithWerewolves wrote:Starting off the day with Summer of 84.

Quality proto-slasher. Was surprised by how much I enjoyed that one.Tiggnutz wrote:Now a Hammer Frankenstein movie I'm 100% sure I've never seen Frankenstein Created Woman

It was very good and the Blu-ray looked beautiful. Really wish it would of got to the meat a little sooner because it was so good.Jigsaw wrote:Quality proto-slasher. Time to rewatch Christine because I haven't seen it in years and read the novel this past summer
Re: October Challenge 2021 Discussion Thread
This 4k of Christine looks closer to a DVD quality picture

Where is Zombs during these festivities, unlike him to not be participating in the Challenge.

Fair point. Not heard from Z for a while in general. Not typical
