I've said a lot that Dourif should've played The Joker. He was probably considered too old by The Dark Knight, but it's a missed opportunity.
It's indeed a shame. He has that really good manic personality that I like to see. Good stuff.

I kinda liked it. I started to watch it again a month back. But I ended up getting pulled away. Sheri Moon was actually good in it. Which was refreshing, lol. I don't remember loving it though. Need to re-watch.
It's typical Zombie shitty
What is this non-sense.
Rejects and H2 = good sweet love
Halloween, 31 = Average
House 1000k = Below Average
Lord of Salem = Below average to shit.
Pretty close to mine, I'd bump Lords up to Average with 31, and trickle the rest down, namely Halloween starting at below average.
Took a few years, but with the new Halloween coming out, I'm seeing more trades coming out admitting H2's merit among the movies. Variety and another place ranked the series, and H2 was sitting in the low/middle section instead of at the bottom with Resurrection like it's used to being at. It's been appreciated more for its merits of being more true to Zombie's asthetic rather than being a stiff remake (both places ranked his H2 above his Halloween). See, I said back when it came out, H2 would be one that would be appreciated more over time!

Jigsaw wrote:Yeah, more hate coming my way, but I think that House of 1000 Corpses is actually a pretty good movie. I didn't like it the first few times I saw it, but it's really cemented it's place for me with the last couple of viewings. Not as good as The Devil's Rejects, of course, but an above-average film.
There would be no Rejects without it.

Hey Reign, did that last story for Tales From The Hood 2 dampen your enjoyment too?

Halloween on the big screen was all I hoped it would be. Big crowd but well behaved. Now if they'd just show Alien...

I'm rather sick. Got two of three movies in today. Suppose to watch four tomorrow (five, with the make-up film), but may sleep the whole day, depending on how I feel when I wake up. Fun times.

I've been hit hard with allergies thanks to the sudden wind, so I'm not even sure I'm going to get one in tonight. Maybe. I was going to give Mandy a go since it's listed as Action Horror and I have it rented already.

Actually I meant the last story-story, not the end of the wrap-around lol. The one where the spirits are all like "we're gonna have you die either way because we're making it happen" bullshit. Which if the spirits were actually evil, I'd have been fine, but they were being all preachy and agenda'd.

That was a King Crimson song. Dug it. Hope the score keeps up with that vibe.

I wouldn't pay that, even if I liked the movie.
Check again on Youtube. Youtube was acting weird earlier and now seems to be fine again.

This is definitely front runner for my Best Cinematography slot for the challenge. Visually so damn good. Great cropping, shadow and color.
