Well...it is better than 6, for sure :P

(reminder, I love 1-5)
6 was my favorite for a lot of years. it's good fun and has a lot of nostalgic value. But I moved 2 into the #1 slot a couple years back. The cast of characters is far more likable than any other installment. Particularly Ginny.
2's core cast is extremely likable. 4 would compete, but I don't think the dude in the shower ever got a decent development, and Paul...well like Sam says...."screw you Paul!" :P

Ted and Jimbo feel very realistic and like actual friends.

One was that it was too much like Halloween II, and the other being that Amy Steel turned it down for fear of being typecast. Anyone know what the real story is?
Amy Steel has mentioned the turning it down part in the documentary Crystal Lake Memories.

However, while hearing about it, I kept thinking it sounded too similar to Halloween II :P

50% of budget spent to make Jason into a fat Skeletor.
Don't think he looked fat until 9.
I have always had an issue with seeing his skeleton protruding so far out. Like if you can see those bones, there is going to be a big cavity, not just like you are wearing a scuba suit with bones stuck on the outside of it. If you can see both your ribs and your spine, you would not be very thick in that area.

I know it is just the reality of a practical effect, but I think better decision making would have told them to not go that far with the make-up.

Obviously a missed opportunity to have Jason jump on an old Schwinn bike with streamers on the handlebars and ride it all the way to the mental hospital like he is Pee Wee Herman.

Ah. I love the part 3 we got but I wouldn't mind seeing that version.

I always wondered what happened to the cop's car in 2, since he just left it there on the road. Nobody found it, moved it out of the way to go to that "casino"?

If Jason moved it, then it would give excuse to him driving to the mental hospital lol

As much as I dig the bodysuit...the hockeymask looks incredibly rubbery and weak.

7's climax would've been so much better if they didn't use any of the dock material. Have it fade to black when she cries "everything's gone" and then cut to the firetrucks and ambulances the next morning.

Just noticed Tony Goldwyn is incorrected named "David" in the prologue credits...when in 6 he is clearly called Darren. I know this...because reasons :P

Considering the massive wound to his shoulder, Jason did one hell of a job shaving his head and face.

I can't get into characters with telekenesis because they always use their powers in the shittiest and least efficient way possible.

Chris is such a drama queen. Vera should've been the lone survivor. Maybe Ali.

Ali would've been cool as a survivor.
