It's really something that you two want to cry about a roughing the passer play, but it's perfectly okay to kick someone in the nuts and shove your hands into their facemask.

I think the "outrage bubble" has officially burst with this take.

Also, it doesn't matter if what he did doesn't warrant Garrett's response. You punish Rudolph on the merits of his own actions, and he was a fucking weasel there.

Headhunter wrote:The late hit by Garrett was late, but you know what else it was? A football play. You get up and talk that shit to Garrett, fine. Everything Rudolph does on the ground was the behavior of a weasel. I think if Garrett just throws a haymaker at him when they're up, he obviously gets some games but nobody is trying to excommunicate him from the world and people would laugh at Rudolph getting what he deserves. Alas, Mason the weasel gets to play victim because Garrett lost his mind.

He's terrible anyway. It's a win for the AFC that he doesn't get suspended.
It was a pointless late hit done for no other reason but to be a dick.
Pointless? The point was to take the QB down, which is his job. Late hits are a part of football, like flagrant fouls in basketball.

Poor wittle Mason Wudolph. It's good to know he has friends here!
Was 2 or 3 full seconds after he threw the ball with 5 seconds left on the clock that's not hard nosed football that's being a dumb fuck.
Indeed. I'm all for hard hits in football. Not being a loser and trying to overcompensate for the hit you wish you would've laid on him.
Yeah, Mason Rudolph's not a loser at all for putting on a horrendous performance like that, then taking dirty cheap shots to a guy on the ground because he hit you a wittle too hard.
Umm... Myles Garrett defined "cheap shot" last night. Lol.
My mistake. I didn't realize if one person gave a cheap shot, that necessarily means all other cheap shots on the premises did not exist. Logically sound stuff there.
Garrett made a lame duck tackle and laid on top of Rudolph to try to overcompensate for the tackle he wished he would've made. Whether or not you think Rudolph threw cheap shots, they pale in comparison to Garrett trying to kill him.
It does not matter how they compare to what Garrett did. You punish a player on the merits of their own actions, and Rudolph went for the cheap shot combo fucking with the eyes and the nuts. He's trash too.

Why does your job dictate what constitutes a crime?

That's not an answer if Rudolph had his skull caved in would it have been considered just part of the game

I'd say John Elway is more deserving of being arrested for drunkenly destroying the Broncos.

Laughing at this is the only appropriate answer. If you're doing a bit, it's hilarious and an awesome takedown of the sports media.

If I hit someone with a helmet could I say it was the heat of the moment or would I be cuffed and stuffed?

I'm just imagining police squads on both sidelines regulating the action. College football where targeting calls get you arrested for a week instead of suspended.

Find me the 180. What Garrett did was horrible and he should be banned from football indefinitely. 180 because I don't want to call the police?

If you swung a helmet into someone's head would you get a fine and a suspension

It really doesn't matter what would happen at your workplace. No clue why you think that matters.

Some great takes here today.

-Mason Rudolph taking cheap shots at a player's eyes and nuts are fine.
-We need the police to arrest football

Sure it does when everyone is crying about equality why are my standards different from his is it because of my income or my talent?

Couldn't the Browns have called the police on Mason Rudolph for kicking Myles Garrett in the nuts? You're certainly entitled to call the police if someone kicks you in the nuts with destructive intent.

Should the police get involved every time a punch is thrown in an NFL game? If someone punches me at my workplace, I could absolutely call the police.

It's only fair.

That's a good point both are assault why is it OK for some but not for others
