I lost my McFarlane Ash and Snake Plissken figures in that earthquake too.

Oh I just looked up Northridge and it was only 6.7. Huh, Seattle didn't take anywhere near the same damage. I don't think.
Lose them in the gap between dimensions that the earthquake caused? :p

Or lost as in broke?

He served his penalty to society, right? Do your co-workers get to dig into your past and get you ostracized because they object to your past?

Let's say it was a drug conviction, and not a sex crime?
That this is treated as some apples to apples thing is emblematic of some uniquely American problems that have been terrible for the country.

Right. He still served it and no evidence of it continued after. Should be able to get on with his life. Still has the right to work. Not far off from what that one SNL guy said about Louie CK recently in response to all the hate when Louie performed a show, defending that he has the right to move on with his life.

Let's not understate drug problems. How many kids are neglected every day because single momma needs her weed to get through the evenings...

Let's consider this for a moment. If someone commits a sex based offense, and you are going to push them to the edge of society and make them unemployable, even when in the company of no one but adults in a very secure setting, where does it ed up for them? Resorting to crime to live? Killing themselves?

If society deems the crimes so serious that this person can no longer be gainfully employed, should we be jailing them forever?

Broke. They fell off the shelves, among other things, but those two had to break. I was a sad panda.

he did serve his time. and he got a black mark on his name.

i wouldn't like it, but they would be within their right if i had committed a crime. and it could even cause me to not be hired at all, even before having co-workers at all.

what kind of drug conviction? just recreational use or something worse?

People were seriously saying he should never work again. It is unreal.

That is how most repeat offenders occur, really. Society winds up refusing to let them move on, resorting to harassment till they break (by either getting themselves back into prison or killing themselves).

BTW, some old wrestling ribs:

- being a veteran, pulling your dick out, then extending your hand to a new guy to shake it after you grabbed your dick and it is still out

- Shitting in people's luggage

- having a ring rat blow you and then having them kiss another wrestler on the mouth

- cooking their dog and serving it to them

- putting an old dead fish in a woman's panties before she was to rub the crotch in a guy's face

A lot of health problems are.

Of course, in America, illness much like poverty is treated as a moral shortcoming.

Denouncing her actions = weird

Her destroying someone's opportunity at a normal life = not weird?
