Just got home and my wife, who is super duper liberal and cannot stand Trump, even said that Trump did not say to inject bleach and shit. She is fighting with her friends on Facebook right now about it lol. Now, the point she did make is that he doesn't speak very well and should stop talking about the medical side of things. Anyway, she cant stand him and even agrees with me on this.

Pretty awesome seeing these companies give back in time of need. My service provider is giving me free phone data for the foreseeable future.Slaughterhouserock wrote:Got an email from my car insurance saying they're going to reimburse me 20% of this month's payment. It's not much, but I'll take it.
Vallarta, a grocery chain, not sure if anyone outside of southern California has heard of it, but they raised prices on all their shit during the pandemic. 4x the price of deli, toilet paper, etc... These are the corporations that deserve to take a dive financially. Scummy shit here.

Thank you, J-Mac. Very cool. You are a tremendous person. Believe me. Everyone agrees.Jmac Attack wrote:Just got home and my wife, who is super duper liberal and cannot stand Trump, even said that Trump did not say to inject bleach and shit. yes. bouncing ideas around and theorizing about what might work, medically, is not something to do on national tv.Jmac Attack wrote:the point she did make is that he doesn't speak very well and should stop talking about the medical side of things.

I told her that he needs to let the doctors do all the talking when it comes to "medical speak". Then he can talk about what the country is gonna do moving forward based on what the doctors say. Even if he means no harm (I truly dont think he meant to do harm), he just needs to understand that his words are important and needs to just stick with his role, which is being the executive branch of the government. Does that make sense? it makes sense to me. throw around gossip and jabs at the media, but be direct and to the point when it comes to policy and such that will affect people's lives.Jmac Attack wrote:I told her that he needs to let the doctors do all the talking when it comes to "medical speak". Not telling anyone what to do.zombie wrote:yes. bouncing ideas around and theorizing about what might work, medically, is not something to do on national tv.Jmac Attack wrote:the point she did make is that he doesn't speak very well and should stop talking about the medical side of things.

His attacking the media is a problem I have with him. If someone says something he doesn't like, he attacks them even if it were a legit question. It's unnerving. But, sometimes things are blown out of proportion by the media, but Trump does that a lot too.zombie wrote:it makes sense to me. throw around gossip and jabs at the media, but be direct and to the point when it comes to policy and such that will affect people's lives.Jmac Attack wrote:I told her that he needs to let the doctors do all the talking when it comes to "medical speak". Re: April 24th 2020
We went grocery shopping last week and I wore a mask that was made for me. My glasses kept fogging up lol. One thing that pissed me off was some dude kept standing right behind me in line. I looked back at him and said "there are only 4 people in this store, you dont have to be all up on me like that". The cashier lady told him to step back or get the fuck out. She didn't use that language, but I know she meant what she said lol.Jason wrote:I'm at Wal-Mart looking for snacks. This mask is making it hard to breathe. :p

Keep an eye out for Angus Scrimm in Chopping Mall. I didn't know he was in it until last year some time, and he's hard to spot.

I have no tattoos, but if I ever got one, it would be a tattoo of the Tallman pointing at a naked Angela with the subtext... "Boooooooooooooyyyyyyyyyyyy"

I'm guessing it won't get put up until at least both are done airing.zombie wrote:i know for a fact that chopping mall is over. put it up on amazon, already! grrr...
Which is lame. When I had HBO through Amazon, they put up Game of Thrones when they aired on the actual channel at the same time, I don't know why they don't do the same for Shudder.

People(read: the masses) are dumb. They watch the Kardashians, they care what brand soap celeb-x uses, they are willing to do dumb shit because someone on tv mentioned it. This is why there are labels telling you that coffee is hot, razor blades are sharp, and other dumb shit. I'm not saying everyone that hears something is gonna go out and do it, but you can not discount how fucking stupid people are. The human race as a whole is sorely lacking in common sense.
The Rev. Jim thing was a joke I made on twitter earlier, and I thought it fitting to this scenario.
With that, I am going back to ignoring all this garbage. Politics is just rage fuel.
This.

Also, fun fact on zinc: unless you're a vegetarian, have a gastro/absorption based disease, are an alcoholic (not calling anyone out here, but you know who you are), have sickle cell or are breastfeeding, you're unlikely to need a zinc supplement and taking it will ultimately just result in expensive piss. Even in "clinical studies" it's only shown improvements in common cold symptoms when the cold was introduced as part of the study rather than caught naturally.
It's snake oil, but it's not likely to hurt you unless you're stupid and ingest high doses long term or have a health condition that can be exacerbated by zinc consumption.
8-11MG gives all the benefits zinc has to offer and anything above 40MG can actually cause zinc toxicity, which won't kill you, but it will be unpleasant ( anything more than 3 ounces of oysters can give you raging stomach cramps, nausea, and diarrhea without even being a result of food poisoning, just too much zinc). Zinc can also fuck up the efficacy of antibiotics, which opens you up to the bacterial pneumonia side of things with this disease.
Plus there's the whole "Zinc can inhibit the absorption of iron" side of things for people with anemia, which can actually be deadly.
So, yeah, only take it if it's prescribed, not on a whim, because you can end up pushing yourself into that "worst case" side of things by trying to pre-treat on your own and actually hinder your early treatment without meaning to, especially if you don't tell your doctor you're taking it, which most people don't include vitamins and minerals in the spiel about what they take.
