My favorite Chevelle song is "Saferwaters"

Everytime I listen to it, chills down my spine. Something about the vocals in the chorus - just amazing.

Yep. I appreciate that they replicate the Led Zep sound, but they just sound like a cover band that isn't doing covers.

True enough. But nothing's original anymore, but like you I dig young kids trying to bring that sound back. I know Wolfmother and to a lesser extent My Morning Jacket do, but these kids were like the Keanu "Whoa", Led Zep 2.0!

I know nothing can be wholly original anymore, but they could still flesh out their own voice. Maybe they will in the future, they're young. Trivium was almost a Metallica clone when they weren't doing the lame scream-o, so it was hard for me to fully appreciate them. Though, the scream-o growl crap didn't help either. That's why I liked The Crusade album, much better vocals.

Why do you think about Parkway Drive? That's the extent of the scream-o I can do.

Sharing this, only because I've never seen this picture of Debbie Harry before. Jesus.

Seems kinda tailor made for him but I’m not sure if I dig it.

Heard that the other week and actually dug it. I mean, significantly better than all the other shitty covers, even ones used for the sequels.

Love this. Epic video too. David, The Frog Brothers, Buffy, Blade, Seth Gekko, and that really is Tim Cappello on sax!
