I know I've listed before, but this is how I'd rank the Creepshow stories as of today.

1. The Raft
2. Something To Tide You Over
3. The Crate
4. The Hithchiker
5. Old Chief Woodenhead
6. The Lonesome Death of Jordy Verrill
7. Father's Day
8. They're Creeping Up On You

It hypnotized her. Seriously. Seemed odd in the movie, but the short story's more specific about that.
Did not know that
Yeah, the "sparkling" surface didn't really film well, but I see they at least tried.
In the story is the goo toying with them? It could of snatched them all off of the raft at any time.

Beaches were closed and he saw the raft and swimming area while on a field trip the week before.
I know he saw it on the field trip, but still not getting why it was significant for them to get to it. They could've just hung out on the beach as their goal, but the raft was their goal and it's a head scratcher for me lol.

Still my favorite Creepshow segment, very closely followed by Something To Tide You Over.
I've got it. Rape. Out on the raft, in the middle of the lake, can't do nothing.

Pretty much. Been a while since I've read it, but when you stare at its surface it does try to hypnotize you into embracing it.

Oh yeah, what is? They're Creeping up on your beard.
The Hitch-Hiker and Father's Day teeter around my #1 spot.

I would flick pennies at it from really far away. ;)
Like stories/flights up? As long as I can crash out and make sure that fucker don't kill me, I'd watch you have your fun. :)
:D :D :D

Pancho does mention he's not gonna get laid with the lakewater that cold. Obviously getting stoned and laid was on the menu. I was thinking maybe The Raft was a location for a porno shoot, but they didn't have any equipment with them :P

Blu ray for it didn't really exist until now. I think there was a scan of the dvd that may have been put out as blu ray, but it was just as bare bones as the DVD. Scream Factory went all out on this edition. It even comes with a sliding hardboard case and mini production book (I almost thought it was a mini version of the comic, but it's not).
