Tormund “I’ve always had blue eyes!” Made me laugh. Good scene. Called the dead kid coming back within seconds. Wife did not. Most fun.
Was definitely mainly a “oh, that guy” episode with only a couple exceptions. Definitely a mild start but I’m ok with that. Cercei and her golden hire-army can get fucked.

After all these sex scenes, Tormund has to bone Brienne at some point. Just has to.

Now I'm wishing I had just sucked it up and waited another six weeks so I could binge watch the season. This is intolerable.

I should still be waiting… but I was deceived, swindled… bamboozled if you will! Done in by “the Olds”, as Headward affectionately likes to call them, and I didn’t even see it coming.

Thoughts on this episode(spoilers, obviously):
Tormund is a straight up D&D character. That giant story, so good on its own, being followed by that quaff was perfect. It won't happen, but I'm rooting for him and Brienne.
Dani's reaction to Jon's info at the end shows alot about them as characters. Jon is just concerned that the woman he loves turned out to be his aunt, meanwhile all Dani cares about is the fucking throne.
Lots of family and love talk. Dani just needs to realize that the Starks are family due to the marriage, and stop worrying about that shit. She just needs to figure out if she's gonna go Aunt Peg on Jon or not.
Arya showing a bit of humanity was a nice change. Curious if this will be in the books and just how old she actually is supposed to be at this point if it does(she starts off pretty young).
Dunno what's going on with Sansa and Theon. Might be planning some sort of love plot there, but it's a bit late for that and a bit awkward.
I expected a bit more of a row between Jorah and Lyanna. I hope she gets to fuck shit up in the battle to come. That's one mean kid.
Jaime seems to be going all in on his new stance on honor. I hope he ends up being the one to take out Cersei.
Tyrion got his much needed reprieve from Dani, but it seemed a bit of a forced plot point to me. Dunno why.

I’m loving Tormund. Think he’s quickly becoming irreplaceable. But the scene with him and the others sat by the fireplace is surely one of the greats. Loved the Giantsbane story. Loved the singing. But especially loved the knighting of Brienne. She’s been epic through and through. Much deserved.
I’m with you on Brienne and Tormund but think it has to be Brienne and Jamie, as that’ll help Jamie close his loop and move towards killing Cersei. The real risk is that some of these guys don’t make it in time to attack Cersei. Would be a shame.
Arya nude was not expected (or possibly needed) which was a bit odd. Feel like it defeats a little bit the drive they had towards that subplot. It does cement that a girl is Arya Stark.
Was good to just have an episode set in the North and ready to go in the North. Bring on the night king

So here's how I got screwed into starting prematurely. Yesterday being Easter and shiz, my Mom wanted to watch something and I got the Old Man and the Gun in from Netflix, thinking one of the Olds would be down with Robert Redford's last flick, right? Nah, she didn't want that. Well with the final season of Thrones being advertised everywhere, she asks what about that? So I briefly tell her my plan that I've had for god knows how long now, that I'm gonna wait until they are all out on DVD, or until after the last episode has aired so there should be no reason to wait for anything. Well she decides to investigate, sees that they have season 1-7 on demand, goes to the pilot and is all "Yeah, they have em all, lets watch this" and hits play... I let out an audible gasp. Let's skip the fact that it's not cool to tell one of the Olds they can't watch what they want on a Holy holiday, but she hit fucking play and the intro screen is coming at me, you can't stop once you started! And there she sits, completely oblivious to all, that she just set in motion one of the most binge-watched, addictive, etc. etc. shows. Nothing I could do but say I better not miss anything while I go get my Seamus hat and pipe to start this journey proper. God damnit.

Is Tyrion's secret to success and longevity remaining a stone cold pimp throughout?

I despise Dani. Ever since that bit where she was picked up and held in the air by the freed slaves. I'll let the unwashed have the honor of touching the great me. And her constant "Bend the knee" shit. Fuck off. She may redeem herself but for now, she's just a power hungry bitch.

Shame there was cg involved with the nudity too, but at least it wasn't an actual body double (according to Maisie)

Not sure about about da booty, but definitely the side book. It looked obviously digital to me lol.

I can live with that. She’s still kind of 11-year-old looking Arya in many ways so not having a full Bron-style sex scene was fine for me. I do wonder how they found somewhere secluded when there was about 10,000 soldiers all from many places making their way there. You’d think every nook and cranny would have sleeping soldiers in it. But whatever. I can live with the result as I think it helped humanize an increasingly distant Arya. Props to the Hound as well for his part.
