A few weeks ago, one of my friends blind-bought the original 8 movie blu ray set, asking me overall how it is as a series, and I'm like "I'm pretty much good with all 8 there, it's when New Line bought it that it went to shit." So he watches it, and we meet up the next weekend, and he was so bothered by the continuity errors in story (obviously made before studios actually planned sequels ahead of time), but the thing that stuck out the most to him was he was REALLY looking forward to Tommy becoming the new killer. I'm like "wait...so you liked part 5?" And he pauses and goes "Yeah! It was six where it started getting stupid with the lightning resurrection and the comedy" lol.
