I remember Joss Stone making it big when I was in high school. We're about the same age. Remember nothing of the music she released, almost forgot about her altogether until I came across this cover of I Put A Spell On You. Holy shit. Didn't know she had a voice like this, or that she was this cute. :)

She did a studio version of that before that video on a Jeff Beck album. Pretty sweet.

I ended up listening to that one, too. Just figured I'd post the first one I came across. Apparently that song is a big one of hers to play in concert.

The guitarist's "jam face" in this video makes him look constipated. :p He can flat out pick it, though.

She's got a soulful voice. I'll listen to any bluesy cover she ever decides to do, that's for sure.

Fap city, bitch!
JK.
But kinda.

Ya know, instead of dubstep or mumble rap, maybe this shit will catch on? Laughable I know, no emojis directed at me.

Their first music video has like 25 million views. They released a new video about 3 weeks ago that's deep into the millions.

Just annoying seeing Dokken with like 100,000 views and shit.

I came across this comment on the video of the song I posted...

"GVF is still in it's infancy. Their sound will evolve into something unique...we have to support them. This song was more Ronnie James Dio than Led Zeppelin. I'm willing to be patient with this band. Rock & roll is extremely difficult to enter in 2018 and beyond because most sounds have been established in this genre. GVF will continue to be compared to the founding fathers of rock...until one day, their sound will explode with something they can call their own. These boys just came out of their teenage years...let them experience life as adults and they will evolve."

Haven't hit up iTunes and clicked buy faster. And one of the first comments got the same vibe a I did, definitely Alice in Chains influence but I even got some Led Zep from the slow decrescendo/bridge into solo. And I didn't catch it listening on youtube this morning at work but certainly from the real track, I dig how Gates just keeps soloing in the background, let's all the other elements come in and hit but doesn't stop. I'm sure D (and others) might just feel it to be wanking, but I dug it. And what a title for the EP!

I've not listened to Avenged Sevenfold since "Bat Country." :P

Still, that sounds pretty decent, though not particularly astounding.
