I know it's not their fault, and they think it's good advice, but those people just piss me off.
For my thoughts on the horror films I've seen, please look here: https://jigsawshorrorcorner.wordpress.com/

However, you can still work around depression. There are plenty of productive people that suffer from depression. Hell, I consider myself productive (and I totally suffer from it) even though I'm not reaping the financial rewards.

I am clinically depressed too. I assume we’re all speaking of unipolar, not bipolar which is worlds different (and probably harder to manage). You gotta revolt against your natural state of mind until you build a routine. You have to fight the urges of your comfort zone consistently. Not easy, but it’s worth it.
Not removing until John Elway is fired.

I was speaking in general, lumping the various depressions together. I recall I was diagnosed as Manic-Depressive at 15.Headhunter wrote:I am clinically depressed too. It's fairly good. Stfu uJigsaw wrote:To anyone who is concerned, Wishmaster II is indeed as unmemorable as I was able to recall.

Gonna start a Bond-o-thon tomorrow. Going to go through all of them, minus Never Say Never Again. That means revisiting ones I haven't seen in over 20 years and shit. I'm also going to watch them in order that Ian Fleming wrote them (then the original story ones will just be watched in order of release after).

I am sure no one would be surprised to learn I think chemical imbalances are bullshit. I think if the si called experts are going to make such claims, they should identify the chemicals that are out of balance.DancesWithWerewolves wrote:Regarding the self hatred/defeatedness, you're not going to do anything but dream. It's going to be a chemical thing in your brain that makes you feel that way. There are drugs to ease it, but never a cure. It sucks, and people who don't suffer from it will never understand it. They'll just think you're sad and just cheering up will fix it...zombie wrote:both, depending on what you're asking about. changing my self hatred/self defeatist-ness? i guess i'm dreaming for lack of knowing what to try. or if it's something that i can change, or just something that i have to learn to keep in check.

That gun disassembles, just like in the movie. Not sure if anybody remembers The Man with the Golden Gun or not...
Re: September 8th 2018
Based on the shear number of people who claim to be depressed, bi-polar, or some other mental disorder, maybe we should not be looking at them as disorders at all. Perhaps that is as normal as being happy. Perhaps any attempt to medicate them is a fool's errand and brings about more harm than good to society.
Re: September 8th 2018
Shoot all depressed people with my golden gun. POW!
Re: September 8th 2018
If someone's default is happy, is that a disorder? Would seem to be less normal than being sad.
Re: September 8th 2018
if happiness is a disorder then healthiness must be a disease.
Re: September 8th 2018
Well, unhealthy is not a disease.zombie wrote:if happiness is a disorder then healthiness must be a disease.

I love The Man with a Golden Gun. Even knickknack has his charm.

When you see like half your friends have some form of depression, it makes you ponder.zombie wrote:neither is sadness a disorder. this is a silly convo. i don't know what it's purpose is.Foo wrote:Well, unhealthy is not a disease.zombie wrote:if happiness is a disorder then healthiness must be a disease.
