On a moderately lighter note the headline “Celtics’ Bird hailed for choking and beating girlfriend” could’ve specified it was Jabari Bird.

They are a part of the US. They are citizens. They fight in our wars.
I agree with all of that but just like I would blame any state government for their lack of preparedness and emergency services I have to blame Puerto Rico too.
Prepare how? It’s a hurricane that destroyed most of the infrastructure. What prep would you suggest?!

Building codes, updated infrastructure, a disaster plan, evacuations, etc.

One of the reasons Puerto Rico is not a state is because they want freedoms from our government. Getting relief money for US states is tied to adhering to codes because the codes are in place to limit damage. I could not build a home and get a certificate of occupancy without doing this. If I was to do it any way, they could throw me off my own property and csrtsinly would not pay for storm damages.

Puerto Rico should be blaming themselves and the storm, not others. That attitude is why they are decades behind the mainland.

Also worth noting Harvard put out a study that puts the toll around 4,500
Can't wait to see the list! I am sure that study is flawless.
Dunno. This is what it looks like. https://www.hsph.harvard.edu/news/press ... ane-maria/
They counted deaths two and three months later and without regard for cause. So, if thugs shot you while looting your home or business, that is Trump's fault. If a nursing facility, which should have a generator, didn't, that is Trump's fault...

Correct. Those are all Trump’s fault. Since he didn’t help Americans after a disaster.

A tree fell across my driveway after a hurricane. Was I supposed to let Obama clean it up? If I chose to instead starve to death in my home, would that have been Obama's fault?

Also, Puerto Ricans may not be Americans.

If a hurricane hit and Obama failed to deal with the aftermath as best he could then it is his fault. But he’s not president.

I never expected a president to take care of me like that. I think counting on others to take care of you has cost more lives than every plague.

I'm very interested to know the percentage of people who go to the ER for issues that should be of no concern compared to people like me who may be dying in the lobby waiting hours to get called in.

Unbelievably, no clot in jugular. They said there's muscle spasms and inflammation, but no clot. They admitted me though, because they saw the clot in my lung. But I told them I already had one there, so they're comparing scans. Might hold me anyway, though. Which would be ultra gay. Just wanna go home.
