No question it's better. Most pre-late 90s TV is hard to watch today. They look like student films compared to the at-home movies they are today.

The Mandalorian, Fleabag, The Boys. I haven't seen most Amazon and Hulu stuff. I rely on word of mouth for pretty much everything except HBO. I'll give anything on HBO at least a try.
if you like the boys, you may like the umbrella academy (on netflix) or doom patrol (probably on hbo?). if you like fleabag (from what i understand,, i haven't actually seen fleabag yet) you may like the marvelous mrs. maisel. (on prime)

my favorite current tv shows, right now, are killing eve, the end of the f**king world, the expanse, magicians, and the veronica mars revival.

Oh I haven't seen any of the ones I listed, they were ones recommended to me. I'll get to them at some point.
