My friend list his dad and said it was agonizing to see as nothing could be done. That story a thousand times a day. The only reason it’s going from 1-2 million deaths to 100-250k to now 60-80k is the extreme measures that have reduced transmission and limited the number of achey hospitalizations needed and helped buy time to buy PPE and ventilators.
