if the film or tv show is already in english, it would bug me to have subtitles. but that could be a good way to try to teach yourself another language, maybe.Jason wrote:Yeah. When I watched Breaking Bad for the first time, my DVDs didn't have any English subtitles, but they had French so I brushed up. Got a little better at it again. There'd be words somebody in the show would say and I couldn't hear it, but I'd see the French subtitle and I'd generally recognize the word.zombie wrote:do you think you could pick it up again, if you heard it? give it a shot. i can recommend a couple you might like. you're probably aware of most of the horror flicks already, so i won't go that way, but yeah.Jason wrote:I was once borderline fluent in it. I probably should. :pzombie wrote:watch more french movies?
as for recommends (though you didn't ask ), give 'he loves me, he loves me not'. a shot? and breathless, but that's a classic, so it might go without saying.
