I should probably stop watching Newhart at night and start watching the several flicks in contention for the top 25.

It's a TV sitcom in the 80s, not to be confused with The Bob Newhart Show from the 70s, both starring the actor of the same name.

I don't know about a definitive list. I remember hearing about it as a kid and never really thought much of it until I started buying sitcoms from my childhood. I actually bought The Bob Newhart Show thinking it was Newhart and didn't even know he had two sitcoms. Both are solid, though I haven't seen much. But Newhart's ending was something I knew about like 25 years ago and have since forgot, so I'm looking forward to finishing the show to see what it is.

my childhood was not as sitcom-y as yours. i watched a lot of lucy and andy griffith but can't think of many post 60s until i grew up a little bit.

I've got a handful of movies to consider for the top 25. The Omen can be as high as #24. I don't think it can go higher. But it also may miss the list just barely

I guess I edited in Evil Dead II when you weren't looking. That one is probably gonna be somewhere between 25-27.

Ginger Snaps
An American Werewolf in London
Dawn of the Dead
Return of the Living Dead
These are the ones I'd actually like/need to rewatch as they are the least "fresh" in my mind. The rest of the list was viewed during this year's challenge.
