The overnight job was pretty crazy.
I typically start work somewhere between 5:50 and 7:50AM. A company needed a night pour about three hours away in Ridgecrest, and I volunteered. I started work Monday night at 7:00PM. Clocked in, drove my cement mixer three hours to Ridgecrest. This shit was out in the middle of the boonies. It was a 3 hour drive, took an hour or so to get loaded, then another 45 minute drive through more boonies to get to the destination to pour the concrete. It was pitch black for half the drive to the plant to get loaded, and pitch black the entire way to the job site. Crazy shit, never seen it so dark in me life. Did two loads total, in total I had almost 14 and a half hours of work, got off after 9AM this morning. Go back to regular hours tomorrow morning. I had to pull over on the three hour drive back and take a power nap, because I felt like I could've fallen asleep.
