I could never really get into the Beastie Boys. I love the beginning to Sabotage, but when they start rapping or whatever they're just lost on me.

It's not my favorite Fates Warning song, but you said 80's, so there ya go. It's more proto-prog at that point. Once they go full prog in the 90's it gets better. The vocals aren't for everyone, though.
