question: if trump and co can have meetings with any foreign officials that they want and get any kind of info they want, then why the constant attempts to reframe and downplay and wriggle out of things by you guys?

Why do you keep posting hypothetical situations that did not happen? What did happen was Donald Jr. happily set up a meeting with who he presumed to be a Russian government attorney for the purpose of obtaining oppositional research.
Yes, and that is fine. It is normal.
Not when it comes from a foreign government.
Of course it is. Don't confuse reality with the fabricated outrage.

You don't see how literally everything gets this same reaction? It is the same phony outrage day after day.
Do you not see how literally everything you post is some really half-assed excuse for Trump? The goalposts move constantly and you just keep rolling with it. So really, you should not be in the "complain about phony outrage" business when you've made nothing but disingenuous and phony arguments to support Trump for months. You kinda lose being able to play the "phony outrage" card there.
"He is a traitor!"

"Well, not really, what we know is really just normal but people are surprised to learn how the sausage is normally made."

"Why do you always defend him?!"

He can. Just adding to the conversation as people do not seem to understand the rights of a president, candidate, or citizen.

Keep moving those goalposts at every turn! Half-ass it til you make it, misrepresent every opposing statement for extra help.

Head, have you lost track of the number of times you have been outraged by Trump yet?

then you don't have to make excuses or downplay what happened or anything. if it's no big deal, don't make it look like a big deal by twisting things and the like. if it's no big deal, then kushner and trump jr. have nothing to worry about. just say that. unless you know you're trying to mislead.

I never thought any laws were broken this is more a court of public opinion thing and in that court Trump and his staff are liars and incredibly dumb. Nothing will get done in the next 3 1/2 years and nobody will believe a word that comes out of the White House. These are self inflicted wounds that could of easily been avoided except for the arrogance and stupidity.

Imagine thinking an "everyone does it!" excuse holds any watre after you went on for months about how nothing happened. Yeah, no.

This is not an excuse, but the optics of Trump are going to be completely different, because he is not from the political machine that cranks out candidates.

Now you're gonna take the "Trump's not the problem, I'm the problem" approach? Oh brother.

Yeah but have you considered that you're actually the problem for caring about them lying and being incredibly dumb?

I would suggest that the appointment of Gorsich, the rapid change in illegal immigration at our southern border, and having a president that supports law enforcement makes him an incredible success so far.

Pulling us out of the debt spiral Bush started and Obamas put on speed will hopefully be his legacy.

And yeah, the media and establishment will resist every step of the way. They will spew hate and try to undermine. In the end, results matter more than optics.

agreed. your actions (and those with ties to you) make your legacy as a president. but you don't even want an investigation at all. if he's done nothing wrong (legally or otherwise), then the investigation will show that. but you don't even want an investigation or even critical opinion at all. fishy. :P

Investigate away. The campaign was happening a year ago and the Obama admin was tapping Trump Tower. Some evidence of s crime would be nice instead of constant accusations.

i agree. it would be nice to see action be taken if there is wrongdoing. that goes for clinton, for obama, and for trump. there have been slings thrown at all of them about shit they should be held accountable for. let's have something come of it.

Gorsuch is a success. Illegal immigration was on a decline for years, it's clear to me the Wall was just a load of bull to publicize what had quietly been a solid decline in numbers for a long time. Good example of Trump shamelessly taking credit where it doesn't belong. And presidents that annoit themselves as law and order presidents tend to make the criminal justice system a bigger mess than it was to start, so there's another failure we can expect.

Trump will not fix the debt. And our debt to GDP, which is already horrifying, will only get worse.

He is spewing hate and undermining himself. The media has propped him up and given him power, not restricted it. He should thank them every day for all they've given him.

Do you not understand how long these investigations take? The Watergate smoking gun was found two years later.

Yeah, because nothing has changed with technology and information since the 1970s.
