This is barely related to anything we've been discussing but Tiger Woods is apparently seeking professional help to manage the opioids he takes for his back. It looks like he got hooked. Pretty tough when you need to manage constant unbearable pain but the solution leads you down another rabbit hole.

Oh shit, the dash cam footage of the Castille killing was released. It's hard to watch.

"I have a firearm"
"OK. Don't reach for it, then... Don't pull it out... DON'T PULL IT OUT!!!"
Acquittal was the right thing. I take back the manslaughter opinion. Regardless, that is tough to watch. Nobody wants to see that.

"I'm not..."
The cop never saw a gun.

yeah, i think he just reacted to the word gun. he lost composure at that point. i still say manslaughter. but i can't be sure if i would have reacted much differently in the situation.

Regardless, you're getting yelled at three times by a cop after telling him you have a gun. You start reaching for shit, and continue reaching for shit after the cop is screaming at you, you're getting shot. Hands on the wheel at all times unless the cop tells you otherwise. Not that hard.

This guy lost his shit irrationally in just a split second and knew immediately he fucked up big time. Smh.

The cop asked for his license and registration. He had given him his registration and was getting his license. He was following direct orders from the cop. I suppose if he had waited until he'd given him his license to announce the gun maybe this could have turned out differently. Not gonna victim blame for that.

He never said to put his hands on the wheel, he told him to get his license and registrationm which requires movement.

Hands on the wheel is pretty standard knowledge when getting pulled over. Cops always want to see your hands. Always. "Hands on the wheel until he says otherwise" should be taught in schools, I guess. Since people are too retarded to realize informing a cop you have a gun, then immediately start digging for shit and continue to do so even after he's screaming at him is retarded. He was playing with the cop, or actually reaching for the gun. Both big no-nos. Acquittal was definitely the right call. No question.

but he did say otherwise. very clearly.

The "otherwise" is when you're asked to get your license and registration...like 5 seconds after he hands his registration papers to the cop he's shot. He's following direct instructions from the police officer. If his hands were on the wheel, he would be neglecting instructions.

He also said
that very clearly. Gave him three chances to stop doing whatever the fuck he was doing and he didn't.
My guess is he was fucking with the cop to stir drama like so many retards do.

both of them fucked up. the guy announced he had a gun. the cop reacting to the word gun. i don't know what i would do in that situation, but i would expect to be held accountable if i fucked up and killed him.

Jason, how do you reach for something that's in your wallet without moving your hands? Keep in mind if you don't get your driver's license, you're ignoring the cop.

This is a more real and terrifying attack on the 2nd Amendment than any of the make believe conspiracies about liberals taking away all the guns.

Quit assuming he fucked up.
"License & insurance plz"
"Here's my license"
"OK"
"I got a firearm"
"Ok. Don't reach for it then." *reaches for something*
"Don't pull it out!" *continues not listening to cop*
"DON'T PULL IT OUT!"
Sounds to me like Castile fucked up. On purpose.

i would expect to be held accountable, in that situation. i would certainly blame myself for it, even if no one else did on the force. i can only share how i see this. i'm not gonna try to speak for anyone else.
