Speaking of Kingpin, did you ever catch that beautiful Indecent Proposal reference? If you haven't seen Indecent Proposal then just ignore me, but this it. lol.

You're the first I've ever heard that from. Thought everyone knew Mel Gibson has a couple of screws loose.
People on here defended Mel to the ends of the Earth, even suggesting that it was wrong for people to not want to associate with him.

I vaguely remember conversations about it. I don't think I ever partook in any. Remember the comparison of him being Sean Penn's opposite or something. Maybe someone crazier than Sean Penn, actually. I don't know.

Put my new bike together. Glad I didn't pay some jackass $95 to put it together for me, was pretty damn easy.

It has been brought up many times, but the peak was Foo caping for Mel in this thread (starting at the bottom of this page through page 7).
Was a goofy argument built on the premise that Mel deserved the privilege of avoiding responsibility for his stupidity.

That's a personal choice. They can work with whoever they want.

Would go see Mel Gibson flicks. Wouldn't go out cruising for chicks with the guy.

I still need to see Hacksaw Ridge. Own it, not seen. Gotta watch Hostiles, too.

who wanted to see hacksaw ridge fail, because mel gibson hates women?
He hates women? Or his dumb ass girlfriend?
There's a difference. :p
enh. maybe just his girlfriend, at the time. and maybe brie just wanted more different types of critics. whatever the case, it doesn't affect the quality, or lack of, of the films that they direct or star in.
And these lowly jabronis ain’t made a movie 1/10th the greatness of Braveheart. Not sully the waters of great cinema, it’s unbecoming.

it's not about is the movie good anymore. it's about did this actor or director ever say something i don't like and how can i convince everyone else not to like what they said too.

Well what one said no one likes and was openly vilified, the other is openly cheered and celebrated, but okay. I guess my point is it’s completely unfair to Larson to make that comparison, Gibson is legit debated as what he said was ugly but he has delivered pure, unadulterated greatness. Larson, everything she says and does is just one big pile of blah, you were either going to see Marvel and her cat anyways or this gave you another reason to lol and not to bother. All care cups could crash to the floor, not even spilled milk. Now Gibson is a brew you don’t just let any dingus come up and fuck with it.

if people were just gonna like the film or not, you wouldn't see people trying to force it and make up theories about the success. etc. mel gibson has proven to be a great actor and director. brie larson is proving to be a great actress. let the work speak for itself. let people decide for themselves whether they like a film, or don't want to bother seeing it. whatever.

you don't have to. that's the common perception whether you feel that way or not. you don't like the godfather. i don't like the shining. both are held as greats, regardless of us.
