This is a world I had no insight into, and probably never well, so this was a fun and insightful read. With everyone on the no judgements thing though if anything I might judge you more favorable given some of the ways you seem to care about the people you interact with etc.

I treat everyone the same, doesn't matter what their job is. I live by the rules of Roadhouse. The first two aren't applicable to most situations, but rule 3 is good for all occasions.

Checklist? Not sure what you mean. I initially started because I was insanely bored. I moved to a place where I knew no one, then covid came and left me jobless and stuck in my apartment with fuck all to do except stare at a computer screen. I eventually stumbled upon some escort sites because I dig too deep for my own good. While I am an anti-social introvert, I do like having company every now and then. After around eight months or so of not talking to anyone, I said fuck it and made an appointment. The rest is all posted above. I still don't know anyone, but at least I'm not going insane anymore.

It's fun? I'm a giver, not a taker. It's why I'm not a fan of getting head. As long as the person I'm with is getting off/enjoying themselves, I'm good. I feed off of whatever energy they're throwing out. If they're bored, I'm done. If they're having a blast, I'm gonna make it last as long as possible. I prefer an emotional connection, but you're not getting that with escorts, so I just go with the flow.

I'm confused by your confusion. I started because I was bored. And I said earlier that I'm not hoping for any sort of feelings. It is what it is. I pay them for their time. We hang out, we fuck. Sometimes we just fuck. It's not a complicated thing. I don't understand the gambling analogy either. You know exactly what you are paying for beforehand as it's all listed on their ads. The only thing close to gambling is the massage parlors, and I've only done that once, because I wanted a massage and thought it would be interesting.
