Hell yes. She was a nutty ass hippie, but still a great singer. :P

Did you know she got invited to the White House back when Jefferson Airplane was big, and she planned to sneak a drop of acid into Nixon's drink but couldn't quite do it? lol.

Also, I love Janis Joplin's voice, but she's by no means a great singer. I feel like we've had this argument before though.

have you given mad season a listen? i've found that i prefer that to any alice in chains album, for some reason. and it's still layne staley so yeah.

I've heard some Mad Season. It's okay. Missing that beautiful harmonizing with Jerry Cantrell (people often forget they were co-singers to AiC), as well as Cantrell's songwriting punch I love.

Damn i have not heard Mad Season in awhile but it could never beat out Alice for me.

understandable, alice in chains is second tier favorite for me. it's just that i hadn't heard mad season until recently, so thought i'd share incase other people had missed it too.
