Was listening to Danny Elfman at work today, so I'm watching Sleepy Hollow now

I woke up feeling like I had to bump up Pearl's grade because Mia Goth was that good and it's a really well made film

Put Shudder's The Innocents on.
Wasn't expecting subtitles this early in the morning. Usually, they warn if it's in another language on the menu page, there was no warning here.

If something could happen, that would be nice.

As I post that, something actually DID happen lol.
Not much of something, but something.

This is painfully glacial. I feel like it's been 3 hours already and very little has actually happened. And they aren't filling time with pretty landscape shots or character development either.

got me some nacho fries for lunch and now watching the first Fear Street.
I like the needledrops, even though Machine Head wasn't released as a single until 96, and the album Sixteen Stone wasn't released until December of 94 (this Fear Street takes place in October 94
)

Trying to squeeze in last of new watches. Went with The Chill Factor. It had goofy script, explosions, rough demon sex (including cheesy fake demon nails) and snowmobile chases. Not bad!

I've been watching Fright Night 1 and 2 back to back. I'm so glad the good quality rip of 2 is still on youtube

All this Fright Night 2 talk, has me watching it now. This movie brings back memories of watching it when I was 13 or 14. Back then, the only time I ever took a break from playing guitar was to watch horror movies. I miss those days.

Final vampire movie I'm watching: Stake Land
Pretty much rewatching this to figure out why it's so beloved because I remember it just being okay at best.

I do think I'm seeing why I'm not connecting with this: I really don't give a shit about the two leads. Mister is a terrible actor, and boring, while the kid is just plain boring. There's no personality, development, nothing to them. There's an interesting vampire apocalyptic world, and these two lackluster protagonists are who we're saddled with.

As if she wasn't awful enough, they allow her to rap over the end credits. And you know what? You'd think since they've given us someone so unlikeable, so terrible, that she'd get a sweet brutal death?
Nope. We do not get that satisfaction.
