Second wave was inevitable when things started opening up anyway. Biggest issue here is still the US not having a plan of attack for this thing, leaving everyone in the woods.

Now Trump is saying that the old man who was pushed down at the protests by police, could be Antifa. Lmfao. Trump is a threat to the American people, and always Trumpers are a cult.

Everyone has seen the video. The old guy did not make his fall look worse on purpose. What do ya have to say about this Trump fans. This is disgusting.

the protests are convenient misdirection, when people were going to beaches and churches and other mass gatherings were going on, while we were all supposed to be social distancing.

Old dude is still in the hospital. Serious method acting, what a show.

But nothing beats the show dead George Floyd put on when he died and then was put into a cop car where he proceeded to come back to life and kick and struggle, in what was a totally real and not at all fabricated video that one person has seen.

Listen to some of these rationalizations. Conservatives are losing on this issue badly and all Trump can think to do is scream LAW AND ORDER and ANTIFA over and over. It’s pitiful.

I think we’re all in agreement that it was going to happen during the summer, and also that the administration would do nothing productive to help the issue while we were locked down. We’ll see what happens.

It is worse to have protests during COVID. But it also is needed. There was no good outcome.

I'm seeing people on facebook say the guy faked the fall, and he had a blood packet in the back of his head. I mean, we all saw the video. Imagine if that was your grandpa and now your family is gonna get death threats. This is a good reason for anyone to see how dangerous Trump is. And those who still support him even after his tweet, need to maybe buy an island and we can send them all there.

I don’t think the Trump people are ever coming back to reality. They’re going to be this crazy forever, hopefully just on the fringes of social and political discourse and not overwhelming it as they are now. But these people aren’t coming back.

13th should be mandatory viewing. Deep dives into Reconstruction and Jim Crow should be mandatory. A deep dive into the migration patterns from the South and the effects on northern cities should be mandatory. A deep dive into the War on Drugs and political jockeying to “get tough on crime” should be mandatory. For most Americans, this is essentially the racial history they learned in school:

1. Slavery was bad but Lincoln saved them
2. Segregation was bad but Malcolm X was just too radical
3. MLK ended racism because he was nice and peaceful
4. The last racist person killed MLK but went to jail

Also, no idea if you have or can but the John Oliver episode this week was 35 minutes on justvpolicing and it was incredible to watch but also genuinely angering and frustrating.

Hitting the filthy streets to spread disease is needed. I can think of some things that are needed.
