Seriously? Do you not know who GWAR is? This is a video of the tour when I first saw them, though it's not exactly the same, so you can see what I'm talking about.

The second time I saw them, they almost set the place on fire. Yes, for real.

I only know their music a bit. Nothing about them live. That video looks mental though.

Reign in Blood wrote:I think my issue with Tool is they feel like a jam band or summat. They got great shit in those jam sessions, but... my first listen through the new album and there's not a discernible song for me except for Descending, and that might not start until the 9:30 mark.
I must profess I’ve never listened to or been interested by Tool. Their new song Tempest (Sevenempest!?) came on. Fuck me that’s long with no real “song” emerging. Just metal noises and some random words. It’s not for me.

Tool always seemed to me like music that should be played in interrogation rooms. Shit drones on and on. *cringes*

Undertow is the best of Tool, IMO. Prison Sex, Sober, Bottom, etc. All good shit. Never really got into the rest of their stuff, but I don't think any of it is crap, it's just not my cup o' tea. Can't say anything about the new album, though, as I haven't listened to it yet.

20-something Jennifer Connelly dancing to the tune of Space Age Love Song, by A Flock of Seagulls.
Pretty cool vid.

Not at all.
Just never could get into Tool. I think everyone has those bands that tons love and others can't stomach.
I also don't like Zepplin. Seems like the world does.

Although I am warming up to one song.

lol, it's not a radio friendly album at all. Reign perfectly described them as a jam band, which is exactly how they write.

Sober is still my favorite song of theirs and of the 90's. Prison Sex is under appreciated :P

I think you'd like Thank You, by Zepp. But that's way lesser known and I'd be really surprised if that's the one you'd dig.

I'm guessing "Fool in the Rain" is the one you're warming up to. "Hey, Hey, What Can I Do" is my second guess.

Is the track gonna be called "OMG I am so embarrassed by this despicable country that gave me a platform and pushed me into the mainstream allowing me to make hubdreds of millions of dollars"?

Was I close...

The Dixie Chicks music never appealed to me in the slightest, so I'm certainly not excited about it. DIdn't even know it dropped a couple weeks ago, so I'm listening now. Interesting to see her go back to her country roots. Looks like this is the song about her Mom beating (hopefully?) cancer.

I could do without the Dixie Chicks on backing vocals. :p Just never liked their music for whatever reason. I am so sick of hearing Pink on the radio, too.

Nothing. I'd even call her a good singer. Her music just has zero appeal to me.

I haven't heard Family Portrait in forever. I think I actually liked that one.
