Finally getting around to watching Clerks III

So far it's visually much better than JSB Reboot, but we'll see how it goes. I've heard mixed (like Reboot), so eh.

He really swung for the fences on this one with the ending, really felt like he had something to say, and felt very bittersweet. Still not the glory days of old, but it was nice seeing him inch closer to it.

It's sitting comfy among The Northman, Terrifier 2, and Glass Onion (Glass Onion is actually 4th)

I'm not even sure Barbarian made my 10 lol.

Just watched the first episode of Willow. Anyone else watch this? It's fucking weird. First off, it took 47 minutes to even get the man on screen. The other characters are like teens in a school play with how they talk and act, the girl playing Elora Danan is the worst. The editing is all over the place with cuts everywhere. The music doesn't sit well, and seems like generic fantasy video game music than anything(the exception being the end credits song which is just some shitty pop song for some reason). I dunno if I should keep watching or give up, cause right now it looks like the people that made this didn't even watch the film.

I got caught up over the weekend. Really didn't like the first episode and debated even continuing, but by episode 3 I started to like it. It is weird, tonally, especially with the music cues. I've read it pulls from the Willow books, but I never read them (or got my hands on them to even try), so I don't know how close they are.

I do wish it was tonally closer to the movie, but after it hits its groove a few episodes in, I'm okay with it as filler.

I've heard the books weren't good, which put me off reading them even though I had them. I guess I'll keep watching for Warwick Davis. At least he's always good.

Yeah, the tone is jarring when you're expecting something similar to the film.

Yeah, Warwick is good in it at least. I hesitate to call it a good show, but I do think the last few episodes have been decent, more fantasy esque rather than LGBTQ YA puffing like the pilot.
