My morning begins with The Gate

Sometimes I've wondered if this is the same neighborhood Ginger Snaps was in.

among the best horror of the 40s.
It was solidly atmospheric, and it's a surprise to me that I enjoyed it as much as I did, given I didn't care much for Cat People.
the two cat people movies are the bad ones. the rest of the val lewton horror flicks are solid.

D, just In case you're looking for Werewolf movies today, High Moon is one in case you might've scrolled past it. Not a good one, but wanted to help out. Haha.

Well, both movies have Toronto Canada listed among filming locations, but nothing more specific. *shrug*

Dorff's house is super nice though. I've always thought so.

Like the neighborhood was still freshly built in The Gate, but Ginger Snaps is almost 2 decades later of wear-n-tear :P

ginger snaps was shot at locations in three different suburbs (brampton, scarborough, etobicoke). it looks like the gate filming location (in king city) isn't so far, roughly, from the three of them.

Actually google mapping it now. Yeah, they're all circling Toronto.

When I googled etobicoke, it came up as part of Toronto, so I think you're right, as suburbs.

Alright, cool.

By the way, if you come across one called Animal Among Us, don't be fooled because it's neither a werewolf or bigfoot movie.

I liked the original Cat People by proxy long ago, but yeah with revisits, I was pretty much like "what the hell was I thinking?". I only love the 1982 movie.

Noted. I think I saw the title but it sounded sketchy. Not even a bigfoot movie? That's even lazier :P

Apparently there's a short film/musical where Louis Tripp comes back as Terry that came out this year.

It's called Sacrifice. No plot is mentioned, but the trivia states he's back in tribute to his Gate character.

The 1982 Cat People remake is also pretty mediocre tbh.
