Eh...I dunno....Wolf House was pretty reprehensible.
Definitely been a few bad films for everyone, but I guess that's the point of October. :D

Started up Mansion of the Doomed (1976). Was blown away by these names.

One of the actors is Lance Henriksen, which isn't necessarily surprising, as he's been in hundreds of things (though this is his fifth credited role).

Makeup designer is Stanley Winston. I've never once heard Stan Winston called Stanley. :P

Lastly, the supervising executive producer is Albert Band, father of the well-known Charles Band (who is also a producer of this movie - only his second produced title).

No idea if this movie will be good or not, but boy, does it have the names to back it up.

So many Universal classics I still need to see. The awesomeness of The Black Cat has motivated me to watch more.

Killer Party is long overdue for a rewatch. I reckon that'll go in the DVD player tonight.

Mansion of the Doomed (1976) was a pure winner for today.

That said, two of the movies were awful (Silent Tongue and Vampire Chicks with Chainsaws), and one, while fun, (Night of the Wild), can't compete with a great 70's flick.

There is the occasional quick shot of a solid practical werewolf head (not great, but solid), but then it's wasted when it cuts to some of the worst CGI to hit theatres.

Unrelated to this comment, but I am damn glad that no longer every movie on your list has an A+. :P

First one is fantastic, Invisible Agent (supposed sequel from 1942) isn't horror, and have not seen The Invisible Man's Revenge (1944), though have long wanted to.

The foulest stench is in the air
The funk of forty thousand years
And grizzly ghouls from every tomb
Are closing in to seal your doom
And though you fight to stay alive
Your body starts to shiver
For no mere mortal can resist
The evil of the thriller

For 1933 the Invisible man has some pretty incredible special effects. Just masterful directing as well.
