Not really, given that's the point lol. Should check out Pearl and see what it pays homage to.
That's on the agenda today.

X wasn't too bad. Couldn't get past the make up of the "old people" You could clearly tell they were played by younger people and I even thought the old lady looked like the lead chick and was expecting there to be some weird psychological twist where she's actually old and confronting her younger self or something. Looked at the cast and noticed she actually did play the old lady. Lmao.

Wasn't bad. Hopefully Pearl is better.
I liked X, though only watched it the one time in theaters lol. I'm still not sure which I liked better. Probably Pearl. I was impressed by Mia Goth in Pearl. Not that I think she's hot...I still don't see what the hubbub is there online, but she's fantastic in Pearl.
Mia was a pretty convincing actress, but Brittany Snow was hot as hell in X. Don't know why Mia would get all the sexy praise.
I'm more of a Jenna Ortega crusher, but yeah I still thought Snow was much hotter than Mia. She's definitely an "I don't get it"
She's got a unique look. Gotta give her that I guess.
Mia in my opinion is a way better actress and I do forsee her getting some Oscar nominations in the future

I saw The Boogey Man at a Drive-in in 1980 and I remember it having something to do with mirrors. I may have watched it once or twice twice since than but can't remember anything but the mirror thing. Let's see if it comes back to me

Drainac was fun. It's trash, no doubt, but fun trash. When it took a page from the Ratz-man in House II in the 3rd act, it got even better. Cool title, almost makes up for all the shitty bland titles I've seen this challenge.

Now watching In The Mouth Of Madness.

I didn't plan Madness to be #100, but that's pretty cool synchronicity as I'm doing a John Trent costume this year lol.

I'm on Pearl now. This chick was already a lunatic before she was an adult. Lol

I think I'll try to squeeze out The Poop's Exorcist tonight for another new viewing after Pearl.

Real slow burn, Pearl is. The movie is half over and not a damn thing happening yet. Just a bunch of references to X and showing what a nut case Pearl is and how boring/shitty it is at home.

Is this movie trying to induce sympathy for Pearl? Because it's not really working for me. :P

A lot of the movie just felt like a giant filler, but the payoff at the end was pretty worth it. Definitely prefer X as a whole but the Lizzie Borden shit at the end of Pearl was rad. Lol

The end credits where Pearl is just sitting there smiling for 5 minutes was weird and must've been awkward to have to perform. Lol

As far as 2022 horror, Barbarian is #1 by far, but I've also yet to see Terrifier 2.

My dipshit friend who is supposed to come over one of these mornings for a Terrifier 1 & 2 double-header is one of the flakiest people of all time. So I might just watch them without him.

Abandoned this for Fright Night (1985). Been too long since I've seen this.
