Actually, Grizzlies are probably the worst team in the West now. Still, only scoring 107 in 53 minutes against the Suns is a pretty bad offensive showing.

We'll sweep the Clippers and get smashed by the Grizzlies, I'm sure.

Didn't the Warriors beat you guys in a primetime game last year basically by the end of the first quarter? I doubt the bad teams are going to be the problem.

Maybe. There was one we got blown out, one where we beat them despite blatant ref help and the other two were ruined by officiating also.

Looks like you guys beat them close in the first game and then they blew you out three times, including a 31 point spanking in Denver.

31 point L was the one that got away. Could've easily won 3-1 if not for officiating. I watched those games.

Problem is I haven’t taken your officiating complaints into account for years, totally irrelevant. Barely win one game then get outclassed in the other three. Some of them without Durant playing, I’m sure.

Nuggets haven’t shown the ability to beat teams with elite talent. Lot of role players is great until big games when you only need 7 guys and your best play 40+. A big piece away.

It definitely doesn’t feel like Jokic is that big piece Star you can build around. But one more piece and it probably can get you into contention.

Jokic is an amazing offensive player but it's easier late in games when your best player is a wing or point guard/forward. He and Murray are both defensive liabilities as their best players. Compare Jokic to the other best bigs in the game in Anthony Davis and Joel Embiid, they're both incredible defensive players both at the rim and on the perimeter. Jokic is slow-footed and not athletic so he's going to get exposed quite a bit in the modern pace-and-space league. When you put it all together, hard not to be skeptical of that dude leading a team to a title.

Agreed. That’s where I am with him as well.

Hard to see who Denver could go for and get as that go to player.

OKC blew out the Warriors and I missed it. I thought the game was scheduled for tonight. :x

I'm never more sympathetic to Jason's feelings towards refs than when I'm watching a Rockets game.

Watched the fourth quarter of Mavs/Nuggets. On the last possession, Jamal Murray dribbled for 10 seconds while not even looking to pass (Millsap wide open), then throws up an air ball. Mavs win.

Their late game offense in general looked bad. As I’ve said before, in playoff games when everything bogs down you need a couple guys who can do it themselves. Nuggets are built more like a well-rounded college team.

Anthony Davis had a 40/20 through three quarters lmao.

Lakers could have given up everything but LeBron for him and it still would have been a steal.

He’s definitely transformed the Lakers. Interesting season to do so when the Warriors are clearly downgraded for the year.

Refs must've bet the farm on the Nets to beat the Nuggets tonight, because this was one of the most blatant forms of biased officiating in NBA history.

Too bad the Nuggets shut it down. :)

I will never forget a few years back, like 2011 or something, when the Nuggets were getting flat out robbed all night long. I think it was against the Lakers or something. Somebody for the Nuggets hit a buzzer beater to win the game and you could see an official visibly pissed off at the bottom of the screen, takes the ball and stomps off like a child. It was fucking beautiful.
