Fictional makes anything okay. Take in mind, he's a beloved fictional character. To turn Mickey Mouse into a transvestite roach, you'd be happy?

if the dislike wasn't based on elements of the fiction, then it was just on principle?

Every single time I watch Dr. No, I dig it a little bit more. Already in my top ten. Might sneak its way up in my rerank. Will be reranking the Bonds after the Bondathon.

From Russia With Love tonight. Possibly Goldfinger and Thunderball afterward.

Finally got to Thunderball. Hospitalization put me out of the mood for a little bit. But I'm back in the game.

Out of all the Bond flicks, Thunderball is probably the hardest to rank. It's certainly not the best or most exciting movie, but it's got the iconic jet pack scene and the shark pool scene. The dude that completely changed his life to be the pilot he killed was also a great touch. This movie can fluctuate up or down like five spots every time I do a rerank. Lol. Currently sitting at #11. We'll see where it is after the rerank.

Dalton brought an intensity to the Bond character that we've never seen. I always wished we got another couple of movies out of him, but the more I think about it, the more I'm content with just the two. The dude was lightning in a bottle for the Bond character. Perfect for those two movies. And I've only got Craig above him by a centimeter for that three spot.

SciFi nerds the world over have to appreciate the opening scene to You Only Live Twice. Star Wars receives an astounding heap of praise for the special effects, but the special effects in that opening seen of You Only Live Twice is every bit as good as Star Wars. Good shit. The theme for this song is definitely one of my favorites. I'll rank my top Bond song list when I finish them all, too.

The Spy Who Loved Me is so great. Will probably still sit among the top 5 in my new rankings.Already a couple of little changes I've made so far.

Next up tonight, Moonraker.
