It's such a shame what politics has done to us over the years. The camaraderie we all shared over the years was amazing. I'll never forget that.

Maybe this thread and this part of HMF is better off gone at this point.
This is the problem. People who follow politics think less of anyone who has an opposing opinion. Holier than thou, your-opinion-is-wrong, mentality. I think no less of you, but this is exactly what the conglomerates want. Turmoil, anger and divisiveness. They will pedal anything to make us hate each other and I refuse to allow it. We will almost always have opposing political opinions, but I will never ever think less of you or see you differently. Everyone here is wonderful. I hurt so badly for you when you lost your mom at 62 and to this day something small will occasionally remind me of it and I'll feel a little sad again.

I considered this place family for nearly half my life. Crazy to think most of us have known each other that long.
I mean at some point though it feels like you want to save a friend from becoming a member of a cult when the views become this extreme. I mean I still have you on Facebook and still read what you say, I just think that your views are becoming more extreme to the point they echo a lot of the QAnon and Herman Cain Awards people for pure Facebook misinformation about stuff. That’s my main point. I just thought it may be that this being the most popular thread may one day look awkward.

But I mean I’m not taking it personally that out views diverged, you’re still a nice guy who has been here for me, but detracting from that.

We probably do need to redouble the efforts to connect on that level more really.

Its hard to be civil when your leaders and wannabe leaders can't be nice to each other. It's the new politics in America.

There is an ad that airs constantly here i which a politician is on a football field. At the end he says "let's send these leftis]t losers to the sideline". Its ridiculous. Dude even leans while walking and standing like Trump does lmao. But if we can hold each other to these nicer and respectful standards, we should hold our elected officials to the same standard. I hate this Twitter era of people like AOC just being smartasses toward people who don't think like she does politically. Personally, I saw a nation get more divided than ever, in my lifetime, under Trump. It is what it is. Then all I get is "he is just punching back!". Bullshit. Words and actions matter.

Also....this whole "election was rigged" is getting ridiculous. Even shit Giuliani has publicly promoted, he is admitting he had no evidence. Everyone is getting their asses handed to them in courts over this. Jason, a lot of those falsehoods were coming from Newsmax and the like, and those guys are backtracking like motherfuckers. They start winning cases in a court of law, then we can talk more about it. But no one is. No one. Even the recounts by their own selected people are proving to be no major fraud. And thats just where I am at with this. Don't get mad. I'm not mad at you. At all. But its hard to take some of the shit seriously when you were going off about Sandy Hook years ago being a hoax. That shit unnerved me to no end. Its terrible what those families had to endure and still have to endure because of assfucks like Infowars. Same with how the media treated those conservative Kentucky kids (that whole native American incident). Lots of bad information out there. I think we need leaders who respect each other, and I guarantee you things would get better.

Now back to horror. That's where I am at with this for the moment.

Also, it’s always the guy who sings the most mud who is the first to decry civility in politics. So lame.

Just thought I'd let everyone know there will be another panic-buy in the coming months. Stock up on 2-4 weeks of your favorite non-perishables, canned goods, etc... My only mistake was not actually going for TP last time. Luckily I had just enough anyway, but that was the only thing that caught me by surprise. Lol.

Stock up soon. Media will be perpetuating another food shortage.
Did you guys listen to the crazy, conspiracy theorist, right wing lunatic dummy about this and stock up? I gave you guys a two month spoiler alert. Lol.

I'm hearing food shelf horror stories. But so far my local stores have been ok. Gives me hope that peeps aren't taking the fear mongering media and government seriously. Or maybe they're just not reading their shit anymore. Lol

One time we elected our first female PM, twice. First and second, 7 hours apart.

In honor of black history month, the Biden Administration has spent 30 million dollars of tax payer money to provide crack pipes to drug addicted black people in run-down cities with a Democrat stronghold in order to combat racism.

That racist orange fucking idiot fuck would never have spent 30 million dollars of our money on black people. Thank God for Joe Brandon.

Biden is indeed a disgrace. We need a socialist in the White House, not a capitalist, like 99% of Democrats. Vote third party.

Didn't you just apply for a job? Why did you sell out?

Unless you're born into a wealthy family, there's rarely an option not to work. I still have some savings left, and could survive for another couple of months, but it'd probably be wise to replenish those.
