I've never tried it, but it does look good. Every once in a blue moon I'll come in and they've got pretty old steak. Next time that happens I'll try the barbacoa.

Yeah, that is my concern with the steak.
We recently started doing rib eye tacos on the truck. They are pretty good. We cook the steak to order though.

Definitely wouldn't mind trying one of those.

DO you eat street tacos at all, or just text mex like chipotle?

We don't get many food trucks around here, but I practically live in Mexico, so I'll bop around different mexican food joints and try their tacos. Some are great, some are awful.

Same here. More often than not, I find them to be a let down. When you get a great street taco it is awesome, but they are too often dry and flavorless with sauce that is more heat than flavor.

There is a mexican food joint down the street from my house that has great everything. Best tostada and quesadilla I've ever eaten in my life, and there is no close second. Their tacos are also up there with the best I've ever had.

Not a street taco fan, every single one i've had Foo described as Dry and Flavorless.
Or I had massive food poisoning with 3 days of diarrhea.

I'd say 70-80% of the ones I've tried are dry and flavorless.

Well, I push the onion off, but yep that's dead fuck'n on.

I hate onion, but don't mind cilantro. Most places that make tacos, I have to tell them no cilantro, because they just put way too much of it on there. So it's just a plain meat taco with whatever hot sauce they have. Which is generally just Ok.

Yeah, I like cilantro too, but they don't need to be putting two fistfulls of it in each taco.

Chicken tinga is my go to street taco when available because it is moist with flavor. I am not afraid of the organ meats and such, but I won't eat them off most trucks here because this is not an adventurous eating area and there are no super busy trucks. If I am gonna eat brain or intestine, I want it fresh, not sitting there for the last three weeks in a fridge that may not be at proper temperature.

I finally tried Chick-Fil-A for the first time a couple of months ago. It was fantastic.

It definitely is something you have to get used to. I eat a lot of cilantro, and sometimes they overwhelm me with it. I can't imagine they get many casual customers for tacos. When I see white people order they normally get quesadillas and burritos.
