i like this better.Jason wrote: ↑Mon Nov 04, 2024 12:46 am I did mention earlier in the month that When Evil Lurks was possibly the best horror movies of the new millennium. After more thinking, it is probably #2 or #3. Ginger Snaps is definitely #1. When Evil Lurks, American Psycho, 30 Days of Night and Cabin Fever are some other quick favorites from just the 2000s that I can think of.

Because the body horror in the original is far less icky than in the 1980's movie.

It can do what it wants. I'll enjoy the classy and suspenseful times of the 1950's more, though. Plus it has Vincent Price, and a morbidly amusing ending.zombie wrote: ↑Mon Nov 04, 2024 12:55 amoh.... human and fly integration should be oozey and gooey!
All of this said, I've only seen the 1986 Fly once, and it was over ten years ago, so I probably can't comment too fairly on it. I do give the 1958 Fly an 8.5/10, though, and I sort of doubt the 1986 version can match that.

Going through my list of movies and did a search (if you hold CTRL + f on the keyboard you can search specific text on a page you're on). I started sifting through 2000s movies, then 2001 and came across Frailty and almost shit. Didn't even cross my fucking mind.
Re: November 3rd 2024
frailty, ginger snaps, american psycho, what evil lurks, late night with the devil. all you need is a 2010s pick and kiss goodbye your lame streaming service idea!
Re: November 3rd 2024
Was sifting through the list and was gonna mention Jeepers Creepers and Session 9 also. Frailty totally distracted me.
Re: November 3rd 2024

Posted my list but immediately had to edit it as I overlooked The Fog.

Have you had a zagnut? I don't know when those were discontinued but I watched Chevy Chase eat one in Seems Like Old Times and it sounded yummy. I never saw any as a kid.zombie wrote: ↑Mon Nov 04, 2024 1:02 amthe zagnut bar beetlejuice scene is better than the entirety of the original fly. fight me fam.Jigsaw wrote: ↑Mon Nov 04, 2024 12:57 amIt can do what it wants. I don't remotely recall what scene you're talking about, so it'll be a fight I'll avoid.zombie wrote: ↑Mon Nov 04, 2024 1:02 amthe zagnut bar beetlejuice scene is better than the entirety of the original fly. fight me fam.Jigsaw wrote: ↑Mon Nov 04, 2024 12:57 amIt can do what it wants.
