I thought the Giants or Browns would've likely got him. Excellent pick. Fortunate pick. Got a hungry WR, too. Need more o-line acquisitions though dammit.

I wouldn't say the Broncos got any gifts because they still don't have a qb. Tough to win in that league without one.

Btw, there is a weird media obsession with Lamar Jackson. Any reason for this? I didn't see anything in his personal life mentioned that made them root for him like the articles I have seen are doing.

I saw him in an interview, he has a little Boomhauer in him.

Idk about the personal life stuff, but the analysis has been super lazy. Not a run-first QB (they called a lot of designed runs but on passing plays he stayed in the pocket and didn't look to scramble) and did play in an offense with more NFL concepts than most of the other top QBs.

Elway is finally bucking his Day 2 habits of picking projects and has been picking productive guys who are dropping.

I am a huge fan of picking RBs in later rounds. That position seems like the biggest wild card. The hungrier RBs are the ones that get picked later. Let's see what this youngster has in him.

Lots of people hating on the Sutton pick, but our two top receivers are in their 30s. Not a hell of a lot of miles left.

I don't know much about this Yiadom kid, but at worst I hope he's a Kayvon Webster and is at least a great special teamer...

Chubb, dudes...

I mean like an overwhelming rooting interest. I understand the kid with no hand getting those sorts of articles, or the oddities who start college really late, division II, or have some interesting story. Just wondering if I was missing something with him.

Lol! True. However, should we judge him just by one interview? I personally didn't pay much attention to him until I found out the Bengals were interested. What I saw though, was a QB. Not some athlete that can run all the time. He looks legit. Fucking Ravens got a steal imo.

To be honest, I watched three interviews.

I saw some highlights, obviously everyone looks good in highlights. Will be nice to have an exciting qb in Baltimore. Hope he becomes a star.

I just watched an interview with Lamar Jackson. I'm gonna start calling him Boomhauer now. :p
Rooting for him the most of all the drafted QBs. Rosen getting all salty about only being drafted in the top 10 made me kinda sour on him. He was my #1 favorite QB, pre-Boomhauer.

Rooting for Baker, Rosen and Lamar. Get Josh Allen the fuck out of my face.
