Such a sub-par film. Hope you get to something better later today.

You misspelled Superb :P

The Howling is excellent on all fronts, well except for the Wookie-Karen at the end.

I always thought Donna's eyebrows looked odd, and the higher definition does not help. Cute otherwise.

Death Ship had some interesting ideas and cool scenes occasionally, but it wasn't a good execution, and was ultimately rather dull.

Really loved what John Sayles did with the script, only using a general idea from the book (because the book is mediocre, i.e. see Howling IV) but the golden idea is having this "Colony" mock all the psychology gurus of the 70's into werewolves repressing their animal side just to fit in better with society is fucking brilliant. Making Eddie Quist actually mean something (he's just a rapist in the original opening, nothing to do with the rest of the book, not a werewolf), and overall giving us the Quist litter, and Marsha (now Quist, rather than just some slutty shopkeeper) just being the frigg'n best werewolf ever. It's also fun seeing the other members of The Colony try to duck and hide who they are around the celebrity. Then eventually just caving into their true nature, totally imploding the doctor's hard work. Absolutely great. The werewolf mythology represented in the film is a great hybrid of everything, and makes it all work, and spilled out to us by the fantastic Dick Miller, a role he considers his favorite role. Oh, and giving us bipedal full on werewolves (not wolfmen) is a huge plus, groundbreaker in that regard.

Looks like I gave The Howling a 5.5/10. Definitely felt it was a below average flick. If I ever take the time to watch it again, maybe that view will change.

lol, never noticed the book Bill reads before he goes out to see Marsha is titled "Never Go Home Again" (it's usually really blurry). The subtle inside humor is spectacular.

Elizabeth Brooks' full frontal is still a blessing. Nostalgic and still holds up :P

Its a free Roku streaming channel. Solid list of horror movies but the commercials are long as fuck

I love how Eddie's kill is calm and calculated, damn I love that scene. The intelligence behind the beast is what makes the thing much scarier than an unpredictable savage.

Though my favorite movie with Dee Wallace in it, I still think Cujo is her best performance.

For Argento's first time directing a movie it's solid.

Howling III, Philipe Mora's second attempt, more creator controlled, yet worse of a movie, lol.
