I voted. 8-)
I'm gonna be glued to the Gillum/DeSantis and Nelson/Scott coverage tonight.

Also love Alice. The man still does a great show.

Well done on voting. I hope you all do. Don’t care that I disagree with some of you, or that you write in nonsense like Jiggy. Voting is sacred and crucial to a Democracy.

I don't write in nonsense. The candidate I write in have official ballot access, granted by the state, and thus, every write in vote for those candidates count. That is not the same thing as writing in 'Mickey Mouse,' which wouldn't count.

I expect Gillum will win (which is a shame, as Bruce Stanley is a better candidate). None of the candidates I'm rooting for will win (Ken Mejia from California's 34th, Niles Niemuth from Michigan's 12th, Sarah Smith from Washington's 9th, Fred Linck for US Senate from Connecticut, George Wolfe for Indiana Secretary of State, etc.), but I'll still be watching the close races with some interest.

I would not be surprised if Xochitl Torres Small's won in New Mexico's 2nd. Polling's mostly favored Herrell, but if the Democrats have as solid a night as their hoping, Small's should be set for a tight win.

Closer to home (Indiana), I suspect that Donnelly will win his re-election to the Senate for a variety of reasons, which is a damn disappointment. One of the shittiest, most centrist, Blue Dog pieces of crap this side of Manchin. Should have been an easy win for Braun (even after that contentious three-way Republican primary), but I think he blew it.

I did vote for a Libertarian for the second election in a row. In 2016, it was Pepper Snyder, for Indiana's third congressional district (the Democrat was a pro-life, Trump-supporting piece of shit). This time around, it was John Schick for Auditor of State. I disagree with many Libertarian policies, but it goes to legitimize third party votes the more votes third party candidates get.

Really wish there was a "none of the above" option. Other than agreeing on the Yes on 6, I really didn't have anything, everything was a damned if you do damned if you don't. Even the Rent Control option was a bad deal on either side. California just sucks.

I'm also pretty sure I'm a curse. I've never voted for a winner.

The top two system is god-awful. No real choices there. Shame Washington also implemented that.

The NY Times' live election coverage is pretty incredible stuff.

Got Red River and Ride the High Country on the docket for tonight while following some of my midterm bets.

Kentucky's 6th is a damn nailbiter. I don't like either candidate, but that's a tight race.

Watching the Donnelly/Braun race in Indiana mostly, though.

My prediction is the Republicans winning the Senate and ending with 53 or 54 seats, and narrowly losing the House.

My guy in Florida, Bruce Stanley, is about last place in every county that's reporting results. Fun times.
