Wow. Looks like my district will be turning blue for the first time in almost 50 years.

Which district is that, out of interest, 48th or something?

25th. Was the 22nd until 1993.Jigsaw wrote:Which district is that, out of interest, 48th or something?
It's been the only Republican stronghold in Los Angeles County for many years.

I see, Knight lost by three percent. One of the many interest close races this time around.

Yup. The district was long a suburban, family area but there aren't a lot of new families moving in. It's a lot of young college graduates who would have lived in L.A. in years past changing the demographics there.

Wow, so far the majority voted No to repeal the gas tax, which also means they don't have to ever let the voter get an input on future fuel tax or vehicle fee increase decisions in the future. People are really really fucking stupid in California. I would bet the majority that voted No didn't even read it, and thought they were voting No to a Gas Tax.

I don't know why they aren't just taxing the hell out of the weed industry. Let's punish commuters in a state where you have to drive...DancesWithWerewolves wrote:Wow, so far the majority voted No to repeal the gas tax, which also means they don't have to ever let the voter get an input on future fuel tax or vehicle fee increase decisions in the future. I'm sure the roads will still be as terrible as ever in a few years. It feels like a slush fund . . .

Re: November 7th 2018
The democrats lied about it. Said they won't be able to repair roads or some shit if it's repealed. It's what the left does. Now gas can be 10 bucks a gallon and car registration is going to multiply x7.DancesWithWerewolves wrote:Wow, so far the majority voted No to repeal the gas tax, which also means they don't have to ever let the voter get an input on future fuel tax or vehicle fee increase decisions in the future. Re: November 7th 2018
The entire basis of that proposition is a lie. I would like to meet everyone that voted no and kick them in the fucking dick. So fucking enraging. The shitheels are going to rob me of so much fucking money now because you are all retarded.Headhunter wrote:I'm sure the roads will still be as terrible as ever in a few years. Re: November 7th 2018
Put some politician in a fucking firefighter uniform to lie about prop 6. "We will no longer be able to fix bridges on highways and they will all collapse if you vote yes, so you have to vote no."
California democrats put 40 million dollars into advertising against it. 40 million fucking dollars. Of my money. All so they can reach into my wallet and take more. These people need to fucking die.
