The new Pennywise got some good reviews at an advanced screening. As did the whole movie. Hope that means something.

there's always the risk that it will suck, but i think it will be good. can't be sure though, it's still an upcoming horror film. :P

The 1990 mini-series is nostalgic, no doubt, but upon reading the actual novel, the 1990 version just seems so watered down (which makes sense, given it's a television production).

Hopefully we can get a harder edge, more inspired by the actual book, with this new version. I plan on seeing it opening night if possible.

Yeah, Even Star Wars doesn't have me quite as excited as IT. And I'm pretty damn excited for Star Wars.

If they even allude to it, I'll eat my hat.

I'd be surprised if it was even hinted at. Still that and the pterodactyl scene in the book are the only ones that didn't gell with me.

As a matter of fact, I'm re-reading it right now. I'll likely finish long before September, but I want it fresh in my mind when I see the movie (even though I read it something like seven months ago).

It's good stuff, Jig. I'm not a reader and it's probably the only book I've re-read.

I was thinking about rereading it again, but I rarely find the time to read anymore. *shrug*

I think it's fine, but would be cooler if they were revealing something on the tear-away side. Revealing one of his other forms or summat.
