Real Sewer of Baltimore news
Baltimore police interim commissioner: Judges must stop letting violent criminals go.
December 14, 2018 By Gary Tuggle
Twenty-year-old Raytawn Benjamin has been at the center of a considerable amount of violence this year in Baltimore. He is a person of interest in several gang-related shootings and homicides, he has been shot twice himself, and his mother and sister were both tragically murdered — perhaps by one or more of Mr. Benjamin’s rivals who had come looking for him.
Then, in July of this year, Mr. Benjamin was charged with a handgun violation after he was seen throwing a gun into the backyard of a vacant home while running away from Baltimore police officers. The weapon would turn out to be an illegal, loaded .380 semi-automatic handgun. The evidence included clear video from one of our helicopters, body-worn camera footage from arresting officers, Mr. Benjamin’s DNA on the gun, and information gleaned from Mr. Benjamin’s cell phone. We also know that, while he was in jail, Mr. Benjamin asked an associate to get rid of another gun that was used in the commission of numerous violent crimes. This was an extremely well-assembled and solid case.
After Mr. Benjamin pleaded guilty, the State’s Attorney’s Office recommended to Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Jeffrey Geller that Mr. Benjamin be sentenced to a maximum of eight years in prison, while Mr. Benjamin asked for a maximum of five years. But on Dec. 4, to everyone’s surprise, Judge Geller gave Mr. Benjamin “Probation Before Judgement,” meaning if he successfully completes three years of probation, he will have no conviction for this crime. As a result, Mr. Benjamin is now back on the street. In addition, Judge Geller refused to add Mr. Benjamin to the Gun Offender Registry, despite the prosecutor’s request to do so.
You need further proof who actually runs Baltimore?

There's more to his op ed but that's enough to know why Baltimore is a criminal paradise and should be burned to the ground immediately.

If Baltimore weren't a shithole, The Wire would have never been made.
Tough to say it wasn't worth it tbh

For my entertainment, I'll accept anything
I would have been making big bets on gladiator fights in Rome too.

I would be totally for wiring the city for video and selling it like pay per view. The real Real World.

BALTIMORE —
City police are investigating a quintuple shooting in northwest Baltimore.
Officials said four men were found shot around 1 p.m. Tuesday at a deli near Park Heights and Shirley avenues.
Police said the first victim is a 63-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his arm. The second victim is a 22-year-old man with gunshot wounds to his body. The third victim is 49-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his stomach. The fourth victim is an 18-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his leg.
A short time later, a 29-year-old man arrived at a hospital with a gunshot wound to his hip.
Police said investigators believe the victims were standing in the 3900 block of Park Heights Avenue when they were shot.
The deli was open at the time, and it's not clear whether there were customers inside. Investigators said they believe the victims were shot just outside the store.
"Our detectives are on the scene, they'll check to see if there were any eyewitnesses in the area, and we'll also check to see if there were any working cameras -- whether they were a city camera or a private residential or even commercial camera -- in the area," Baltimore police Detective Jeremy Silbert said.
Citywide shooting detectives are handling the investigation.
Officials reopened Park Heights Avenue around 4:30 p.m.

In the wintertime when the weather is cold
You can stretch right up and touch the sky
When the weather's fine
You got women, you got women on your mind
Have a drink, have a drive
Go out and shoot what you can find

So no better modem came. Instead, I got a replacement one of the one I already had, and I had a tech come out for it. I liked this guy, he had a very matter-of-fact way, letting me know that the "better" one was basically exactly the same but just a new chasis and the customer support crew prefer to try and push it. He rattled off the numbers comparison and it was identical. He took the time to look at the lines, and replaced the whole thing, believing the problem has been a combination of the line and the jack. He stated that the jack was extremely old and he was surprised to even see it there. The line itself was old, scuffed, and beaten around, and even smashed. He stayed to make sure the connection was good at the shed, and it was excellent and showed me the readings, and just ran a whole new line for me.
Also, one of my neighbors stapled their Christmas lights into my lines. A drop in the bucket on the damage of that line, but it was there. She tried to claim that those were not AT&T lines, and he was like, "ma'm, I am AT&T". It was pretty awesome, lol. He ran the line so it wouldn't be in the way of the christmas lights.
First tech I actually liked from there. I like Techs that admit when certain equipment is junk. They're far more truthful than customer service reps who just follow scripts, as long as you get one that's not lazy.

Apostle (2018), for a two hour and ten minute movie, was pretty damn good.
