So being dragged to work Saturdays is gay enough. One of the houses I went to this past Saturday was a tight squeeze for me to back into the guy's backyard. But the guy hired a pumper for the concrete who backed me up to his pump. I'll back my concrete truck to his pump and dump the concrete in it. He'll pump the concrete where it needs to go through a giant hose.
My work got a call four days later from the guy, claiming that I hit something on his property. There were power lines, a fence, and a roof. None of which I touched, and the pumper guided me in and out of the guy's house no problem. Either he didn't specify what was hit or my work refuses to tell me, because I'm not being told what damage there was. Work said it didn't matter because they paid for the guy's concrete and the next one I get a written warning. I'm sorry guys, but you just got scammed out of about 800 dollars worth of concrete. You fail to investigate the damage and just pay the guy off, I'm not signing the next written warning unless I actually did hit something.
What a fucking scumbag, by the way. Could've potentially cost me my job because he planned to scam all along. The dead giveaway was that I hit something, but you waited four days to call my company? Go and fuck yourself. I'm so tempted to knock on the guy's door and confront him, but my job will be lost for sure at that point. People like this need to be confronted, though.
I told my work most of this, and they were just like "Eh".

He's got a point. Create roles for black actors. It's what I'd prefer as oppose to raceswapping established/intended roles.
I'm seeing it Saturday.

It's not like what he said was out of malice like Brie's constant drumming. But I'm sure you guys will chew and gnarl on it like it is.

It's just a flat out Hollyweird double-standard. Black people make up 10% of the U.S. population, but that number far exceeds it in the representation of film. If a white man said he wouldn't be casting any black men in his movie (for any reason, justified or not) the world would explode.

it's funny. brie larson is malicious, a sexist. whatever. mel gibson literally screams that he hopes his girlfriend (or wife?) is raped and killed and people are just being too hard on the guy.

You're the first I've ever heard that from. Thought everyone knew Mel Gibson has a couple of screws loose.

To be clear, I don't think Key or Peele are racist people and I have no ill will toward them or their comments, I get where they're coming from. Not exactly trying to create roles for black actors as they are getting tons of work, but trying to bring black-themed films into the mainstream despite only making up 10-15% of the population, but there is a double standard involving race and Hollyweird that cannot be ignored. And if there is any form of critique on all-black movies, you are simply racist for saying it wasn't good.
Get Out did suck, though.

enh. maybe just his girlfriend, at the time. and maybe brie just wanted more different types of critics. whatever the case, it doesn't affect the quality, or lack of, of the films that they direct or star in.

People wanted to see The Mule fail, because muh-racismsexism.
A rudimentary google search will proudly flaunt all of the biased, leftist articles and bump them to the top of the feed because of their manipulated algorithm (which google admitted to, btw).

Nah, Brie is a pandering dumb ass who thinks she is above you. And she has no ass.

i hope that we can get to a place where there is inclusion and it doesn't have to be played up for marketing, or defended in the trades. i hope that it can just be, and let the films speak for themselves. we've had all male casts in films (or nearly all male, sometimes) why not have all women or all black or whatever too? the type of person you cast is not what makes a film good or bad. that comes in the acting and the direction. etc, not in the gender or the race of the actors involved.

the mule has a 70% on rt. and a 7.1/10 on imdb. looks to be faring pretty well.

We have all women/all black movies, too. Friday was awesome. All three of them. Bridesmaids was pretty damn funny.

It was at 8.3 when early reviews opened up and around 90-something on RT before Mule trolls dragged it down. I mentioned this double standard from RT regarding Captain Marvel to Headuardo, the other day.
Jason wrote:Headhunter wrote:Jason wrote:zombie wrote:the audience rating is 68%. is that worth manipulating to that level? or do you mean that they stopped allowing pre-opening comments for films? that's two different things.
It was as low as I believe 29% before it was temporarily removed from their site completely, then brought back with a higher score.
I'm sure that was a totally legit 29%.
Very likely not, but they went out of their way to hide the deleted reviews. Could've just said they removed trollee reviews and made a list of the ones they deleted. Pretty easy, and no controversy needed. The hypocrisy here is Rotten Tomatoes didn't remove any of those trollee comments for The Mule before it was ever released. Clint Eastwood has garnered a hateful cult following after supporting Romney in 2012 and saying millennials are fuckin' snowflakes. lol. It is hypocrisy, and a blatant double standard. But this goes on in the every day world of liberal manipulation in news media and Hollyweird.

and captain marvel is a bad film because of how you view the actress to be, beyond the film? if that's cool, then it's cool for people to hate the mule because clint eastwood is a racist or whatever. anything else is a double standard. or you could just take the film on it's own merits. let the film speak for itself. (unless it means supporting a living criminal, cause i don't want you to throw that back at me.
)
