Probably. You gotta get pretty good at diagnosing yourself, otherwise there's a chance they just write it off as nothing and send you home. When I got that blood clot in my leg back in 2013, it was 3 weeks before Obamacare kicked in. I had a great team of doctor's dedicating to figuring out the cause. Once Obamacare kicked in, I had to switch to a completely different care provider and they were absolutely careless. Took them like 3 years and I finally found out it was some genetic thing that a lot of people have. Here's the funny thing, when I found out that I had the genetic thing, it was only because my spleen enlarged and the hospital that was going to remove my spleen was the same hospital that had the great team of doctors before Obamacare. They got the records from my new Obamacare doctors and they were like, "Oh, you have factor V". I had to learn from a team of doctors that were no longer my own that I had the condition. No idea when the Obamacare doctors found out, but they never once told me. So, yeah. It really just depends on the doctors you go to. You know your body better than they do and if you really think it's life or death, ER is a must.

If you just want to talk about something bothering you, make an appointment with your primary doctor.
If you think you genuinely need to be treated for something and you're not sure what, go to urgent care.
If you're vomiting a gallon of blood from your esophagus, go to the ER.

Just a heads up if you didn't know, but if you have a Dollar Tree nearby it would be wise to go check it out as they have $1 dvds and Blu rays. They usually have a small variety and some rather decent Horror titles that are mixed in. Here's a run down of some of the horror titles i've came across so far:

Well steps 1 and 2 are already firmly complete, so I guess you just wait it out for the big finish to the ER then. And while I'm glad you initially got a good team of doctors, this ain't got nothing to do with Obamacare. From almost every angle I can see, we have royally fucked our healthcare system. Unless you got the right juice, of course.

What happened that you needed to see a doctor...

Obamacare is fucking horrid. I am all for universal healthcare. Absolutely. We have a guy from New Zealand that flew back to NZ to pay for his carpel tunnel surgery instead of using his "good" insurance because it was cheaper. People are paying $700+ a month. And some would rather pay that, than to have say 6% taken out of their pay each week.

Using my pay as reference, though 6% each weekly paycheck (I'm paid bimonthly) will basically take up 24% of your monthly paycheck. That's not a whole lot less. It's less, but not by much. It's practically a Student Loan payment.

$700 was on the low end. I have a buddy who pays $300 a week! He makes good money, but he struggles to pay for it. $6 per $100 that I take home, and also everything is covered. I'll take that just for the peace of mind.

I didn't include deductables. I have $500 for ER visits per year. Some people have like a $5000 deductable at the ER annually. It's out of control but we sit back while drug companies and shit are making record profits.

I miss my old job of helping administer RX plans I have told my wife that I wanna get back into the field. I was really good at my job.

The deductable stuff confuses the hell out of me. I just want insurance gone altogether. Just a bunch of greedy middlemen sharks, jargoning up everything to hide how they plan on jacking up more prices.

It's what you pay before the benefits kick in. Once you pay the deductible in full, that's when you can enjoy the benefits. It starts back up every year.

Man, back in the 90s, I paid 99 cents per week for killer insurance. That's unheard of now!

In fact, the fallout from my hospital stay is Trickster actually gave me my final brainscan last week, and Doc told me, look I know you're not an actor, but if they do a live-action remake of Pinky and the Brain, they gotta cast my dome, it's pristine and ready for world domination.

My mom and a friend are going through shit, a comical if it weren't sad domino effect of shit hitting them. Not digging what I see.

Prior to the Obamacare switch it was great. I was only three weeks in before I had to switch. Prior to that, however, I thought I had no worries for the rest of my days. I was a 25 year old athletic young buck in his physical prime who hadn't been to the doctor in fuck knows how long. Now I've had spleen surgery, ruptured esophagus, blood clots in my leg and lungs, stomach shots twice a day for life now, etc... ever since. Humbling, to say the least.

Weird question, but you've pretty much been to the edge and came back, played in that space, near death let's say. You ever felt like you brought something back with you?
