Sleazy Sunday
Me and my friend were watching Trollhunter last night, and when the camera man announces that he's Christian, and studdenly the Mountain King Trolls come for them and kill him, I said out loud, "It's just like announcing you're Christian to a bunch of Californians" and my friend laughed for like 5 minutes.Jason wrote:A huge part of my attraction was how cleansed her soul is of politics. Then something happened and Hollywood consumed her like The Blob and spit her out like the retards from They Live. Now she's doing weird liberal shit, and her latest video has a token (not that there's anything wrong with black people) black dude as her boyfriend. It's totally forced, I feel like if she knew me and I had mostly Conservative/libertarian values she would hate me. That's how most of the left is. Especially the celebrity left. Just not a fan.Jmac Attack wrote:Or....you're just gay. C'mon man. She's turned out to be a sexy woman. You'd still hit it, and you know it.Jason wrote:Nah. You knew she was gonna say what she really believes eventually, don't be mad because some of it is stupid.Jason wrote:Nah. She's mean.Reign in Blood wrote:You gonna take your ass to Tower Records and get the new T-Swizzle disc of jammage?

You know damn well you hate to see when a beautiful fantasy implodes. You wouldn't poke a kid after they find out Santa isn't real, not do it here.Headhunter wrote:Wait you mean the MAGA hat pics weren't real
I feel like someone not being a lib shouldn't be a fantasy though.Reign in Blood wrote:You know damn well you hate to see when a beautiful fantasy implodes. You wouldn't poke a kid after they find out Santa isn't real, not do it here.Headhunter wrote:Wait you mean the MAGA hat pics weren't real
I don't know. It's weird how all these politically vocal celebrities echo the exact same shit verbatim, and then project it in the exact same way to the public. Taylor seems to be way different once she came out and urged people to vote against Martha Blackburn in Tennessee (didn't work, by the way). It is so forced and awkward. I'll listen to your opinion and watch your movies and listen to your music and pay for it all, but the labels they put on people who don't share their views is just disgusting. People look up to them in a way and many are subtly influenced by it and treat people the same way they see celebrities and media do it when they're yelling at us. If you don't view it this way, you're definitely racist. If you don't view it that way you're definitely a sexist and homophobe. I'd like to go to a movie and not feel like I'm being lectured about my political views. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood was a huge breath of fresh air.Reign in Blood wrote:You knew she was gonna say what she really believes eventually, don't be mad because some of it is stupid.Jason wrote:Nah. What's even weirder about Taylor is that famous "Republicans do it better" thing she had on her myspace page when she became famous. Then took it down because the left was mad. Once she became a celebrity and invited Lena Dunham to her house it was all over.
That's fine. It is a dangerous thing to generalize police as if they all do this. You are talking about less than 1%. Black people are currently murdering each other right now, this very moment, as I type this in Chicago, in Detroit, down the street from Tigg's house. Far more than any police are unlawfully murdering black people. Shouldn't that issue be addressed, as well? Black men represent 6% of the U.S. population and are responsible for more than half of all murders. That is a staggering statistic. If you are so against murder, QT, why limit it to the rare instances and generalize police? Are you afraid to address a glaringly major issue because you might be labeled a racist for it? etc...Headhunter wrote:“I’m a human being with a conscience, and when I see murder I cannot stand by. Yeah no, not where I was going with that at all but alright.Jason wrote:That's fine. It is a dangerous thing to generalize police as if they all do this. You are talking about less than 1%. He didn't invoke it in the movie. The crazy hippies hated the cops. That was about it. The people you admire are going to have far more unlikable qualities than their politics. The art is what's important and that stands alone. My advice is to stop hero worshipping celebrities as much as you do, then you won't take these things in a personal way.Jason wrote:He didn't invoke it in the movie. The crazy hippies hated the cops. The art is what I'm getting at. You'll have some beautiful piece of work and they inject their cancerous politics in it at random moments. You don't paint the Mona Lisa and throw a tomato at it.Headhunter wrote:The people you admire are going to have far more unlikable qualities than their politics. What is this jibba jabba? He likes his fantasy women in lockstep, demure and submissive like, not want to put up with lena dunham saving the manatees and shit.Headhunter wrote:I feel like someone not being a lib shouldn't be a fantasy though.Reign in Blood wrote:You know damn well you hate to see when a beautiful fantasy implodes. And this is where it becomes a "you" problem where you allow your MAGA politics to make you a less happy person. You gotta figure that one out yourself.Jason wrote:The art is what I'm getting at. Pretty sure anyone would be annoyed if they go to witness a piece of art unfold and the artist randomly throws a tomato at them.Headhunter wrote:And this is where it becomes a "you" problem where you allow your MAGA politics to make you a less happy person. You gotta figure that one out yourself.
