I wish my internet provider would stop messing with shit. I don't know if they're fixing an issue or updating the system, but stop restarting my modem every two minutes. I have 3 lights, so why can't half the sites i'm trying to login and use can't be reached?

Can't afford to take time off work, plus we just got dumped on for several event invitations that are all suddenly due at the same time, and machines are breaking the fuck down. So yeah, I'm handling all that while sick too, but at least the office is air conditioned :P
How you holding up today? Temps weren't any better.

Pretty much the same until about an hour ago when an AC unit was finally replaced, so the apartment is finally cooling down. I think the cold may have finished running its course too, but no doubt I'll be hacking stuff up for a few days. I should sleep good tonight finally. I had about 2 hours sleep last night.

Something about my god damn house is wrong. It's just never been able to ever fucking get below 85 degrees in the middle of the day. Let's say I set the AC to 75 degrees. It'll hold those temps all night long. When the sun comes out? lol, The house is 80 degrees at 10 AM with the AC still on. Professionals have come in and made sure all the shit was hooked up correctly. I got a new AC unit about 3 or 4 years ago, still the same shit. You can feel it blow cold air just fine but when the sun comes out it's utterly useless. Got a swamp cooler a few years back, too. Will get nice and cool at night, utterly fucking useless during the day. It's enraging. I live in hell, so it's even more enraging.

And it's Labor Day weekend and I have to be up at 3 in the god damn morning for fucking work.

Pretty sure California's housing builders banked on extremelely insulated houses to keep and absorb heat. You know, so they can jack up the cost of living more.

Sounds about right. The house I live in is a duplex and was built in the 70's. But what's ultra enraging is that the house next door has a lower electric bill every month, even though more people occupy it. And the AC/swamp cooler units work perfectly fine. The thought of it makes me shit bricks. I've bought electricity friendly bulbs, power outlets, etc... not a damn day's difference. My electric bill is always higher, and I'm never even fucking home.

Maybe they're spliced into yours? Should probably have that checked out.

It's irritating. Probably gonna get Edison to come check it out just for them to be like "Nah, everything's cool. That'll be 780 dollars, please".
